re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

I tried doing 0-100 run. It was a very mild launch and there was no wheel spin. The video is not about 0-100, I wanted to notice the change in sound . There is little difference, hope you guys can appreciate it in the video.

DIY AC Vent Cleaning :

I used to get this done at 3M and they would charge around 1000 Rs for the same. Recently I came across the product on Amazon and it was just Rs. 200. I know that it's a simple DIY job and ordered the same.

Got it after 3 days

MRP (I got it for just Rs. 200)

This bottle is good enough to clean all the vents once. I do not complain about the quantity looking at the price and I saved a lot too by DIY .

Steps :

1. Connect the pipe to the bottle

2. Put it into each AC Vent and wait till the foam comes out.

3. Wait for 2-3 minutes for the foam to dissolve and clean the dust.

4. Switch on the blower, make sure to cover the AC Vent tightly to prevent the left out foam spreading inside the car. It would be easy if 2 people are involved here as all cars don't come with option of closing individual AC vents.

5. Enjoy the fresh smell in car and clean AC vents

Note : I did this alone and hence couldn't click all pictures. Very happy with the results. Rs. 200 and hardly 10 minutes.. Wow!!

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

I had a very bad experience with 3M foam cleaner. May be I did it wrong or I got a counterfeit product. I tried it in 2 cars and both cars started smelling very bad after a couple of days of use. Don't know where it went wrong, but I too followed the exact same procedure.

I have followed the same procedure as instructed on the bottle and also from what I have seen in 3M store. I have not experienced bad smell, but the pleasant smell would last only for few days . This is my observation from previous experience with same procedure at 3M stores.

It was anything but pleasant in my case. I had to later use LM Klima Spray and Meguiars Odor Eliminator to counter the 3M's smell.

Hope I don't have to PM you asking about Meguiars Odor Eliminator now . This foam is supposed to get dissolved and drained out. I guess if it's blocked and collected inside for long time, that results in dirty smell.

Haha.

The drain was fine in my case. I suspect counterfeit product. Cannot rule that out. I bought it from a 3M wholesaler in Kashmere Gate Delhi, but you never know.

re: My Maruti-Suzuki Baleno Zeta Petrol | Now Wolf'd | 6 years & 42,000 km done

I have driven more than 500 KM after installing BMC air filter. There is difference for sure and more prominent at high RPM. I tried doing few 0-100 runs and appreciated the gains (around 0.5 seconds).

0-100

Baleno has power and torque display, not the numbers.. Just graphics!! I have no idea how it works or is it accurate. Check the below video.

Those are a set of interesting videos you have posted. I recently test drove the Baleno 1.2 and was trying to revv the engine to redline. From what I read in the forum and based on the official reviews as well, the 1.2K series engine is supposed to be a free revving. However during the test drive, I could feel that it was hardly able to revv freely beyond 4K. The test drive car was in good condition as well. Not sure what the problem was. Also the NVH was on the higher side when trying to revv the engine and I was expecting it to be much much more silent. Your videos also confirm my test drive experience i guess.

Can you please throw some light on this?

Baleno 1.2 is free revving engine. It just loves to be revved. The performance and engine sound is pretty good above 4000 RPM. See the 0-100 video again, it's revving pretty fast above 4000 RPM. The engine noise is slightly higher in my car after installation of BMC air filter and I like it

3M Store : Quick Visit

1. UV Protect : This is just foam wash and application of wax by hand.

2. Interior Germkleen : The interiors are thoroughly cleaned with 3M antimicrobial foam and the plastic parts dressing is done.

The price for all services have increased by small margin this year.

New Price list :

Another one of the same engine's in a different state of tune! Does it pull like mad if you short shift too? Mine pulls like mad with short shifts.... Sounds awesome. Do you have one without That BMC?

1.2 K series engine is sweet. As I said before it is revv happy. Car pulls like mad if you redline in first 3 gears. I was used to driving turbo diesel, mild tap on throttle and car will pull even in higher gears, this is missing in NA petrol. You have to downshift and revv for performance.

There is not much difference in sound with BMC filter. It can be appreciated only above 4000 RPM. Video doesn't do any justice. Here is the one with stock air filter.

I observed that car revvs only till 5000 RPM in neutral. I was trying to capture the exhaust sound and happened to notice it .

One of the best sounding 1.2 NA Petrol
