1. Radiator fan (diagnosis time + 4 working days to procure the fan assembly + one working day to replace the same).

2. A/C failure - This matter is ongoing. It was found that there is no gas in the system, so a leak test has to be performed.

3. Abnormal gearbox noise @ about 40 kmph.

That's a lot for a car not even a year old! Saurabh is rightly concerned about what the future holds for his Jaguar.
really sad to see such cases that too for a car that had been proven good where it was born. first two issues are digestible, but the third one seems a serious one. XE comes with 8-speed ZF gearbox, correct me if i am wrong, and it still has issues.

Unfortunately, here is the latest update :

After 4 days in the workshop, the car came back to me. Within 1 week, again the same problem. A/C isn't cooling...what nonsense is happening! Also, the auto start-stop feature isn't working.

Re: Video Review: 2016 Jaguar XE

Any updates on the failures? I'm thinking about getting a pre-owned XE 25t.
There's a 2017 model available with 10K on the odo, 1 year of factory warranty. What'd be a good price for it? Does anyone know if the warranty can be extended by Jaguar?

D3mon have you decided on the Jag? I am looking to replace my e90 320d with a preowned Xe or a 3, but waiting for the July release of the new G20, post which prices of preowned will drop

No, the asking price was too high. Even newer 330i's were available for cheaper and the owner was unwilling to budge.

What is the price he is quoting? 25t means the top end portfolio petrol with 240bhp engine, am I right? The direct competitor of the 330i.

Yes, it was the portfolio. The owner was unwilling to go below 34 lakh for a 2 year old car. As I said, 330i's are available for a lower price whenever they come up for sale here in Bangalore, and they will be a lot easier to sell later on, as well as a lot more reliable while delivering similar thrills. Anyway, I dropped that plan and have found a 320d instead that I'm hoping to close soon. With a mild remap, it should have pretty much the same pace as those two cars anyway, and the extra noise honestly did not bother me as much as I thought it would (I test drove both the 330i & the 320d recently).

Re: Video Review: 2016 Jaguar XE

Hey guys,

I've been offered a heavily discounted pre-owned XE from a Jaguar approved reseller. 1500km done, mid 2018 model. Will be going checking the car out.

Is it worth taking a punt on a Jaguar as a 5 year daily driver? I'm just worried because they don't have warranty beyond 3 years, and just generally I have read no positive experiences from XE owners. I don't think I've even seen an ownership review thread on Team BHP!

Also, I had read somewhere that pre-owned cars with very low mileage early on tend to be the more problematic ones over time. Any thoughts?

What would be a good price for a 2017 Approved.XE with 20k km on odo?

Jaguar XE 25T - Performance mods

Hi guys,

Pretty new to the forum, have always been a reader without ever registering on the website hehe.

I have a 2016 Jaguar XE 25 T
Stock is 247 BHP

Looking to do a remap, cold airintake & probably a downpipe to the car as well. But I dont want the car to sound too loud, would like the noise to appear after 3-4k rpm

I am from Chennai, would not mind travelling to Bangalore to do this as well.

Any suggestions would be helpful !

Thanks
