Nice car, Dippy. Congrats.

Most of the OHCs that I see here in Chennai are immaculately maintained. They could easily pass off as brand new cars. The OHC is a true C-seg sedan - awesome road presence, unlike the ones we get today.

BTW, are there major differences between OHC Type1 & 2. If I am right, there is some difference in the rear design, especially the rear light cluster is better in Type2. Other differences are also just looks-related or is there more to it ?

I guess youre right, the only change is the rear light fitting. Type-2 comes with crystal clear rear fitting

I dont see too many OHC in Chennai taking into consideration that this particular model was sold from 1998 to 2003 (5 yrs). Is this a very successful product from Honda ( no doubt about it performance), just wanted to understand from the commercial point of view

Wow. The car is absolutely scratchless. Congratulations, Dippy. Finding a clean, uncscathed City in Mumbai, and that too after the floods, is tough enough. And you found an AT. Superb. *Touchwood*.

A small query...how much did you nick 'er for?

Thank you everyone

@Rudra : Will be updating this thread regularly so posted it here

@karthik247: Well apart from from being really good in city traffic, the other reason is that i have a problem in my right hand and i cannot use it. Though I do drive manual cars like everyone else but RTO regulations dont permit

@supremeBaleno: Apart from the front and rear light clusters, the otherdifference is on the inside where you you get a round knob for your AC controls unlike the stalks in the type 1

Hey Dippy,

Congrats on your new ride. It may be a hoary old anachronism, but you just proved that "good things come to those who wait"...

All the best - she's lovely.

After reading your requirements, I said to myself that no way is he going to find one like that! But it seems you did. Good stuff! But your trademark "bent front numberplate" is missing!

Great buy Dippy. You know, I envy people who own the OHC. In terms of build, it is way way better than the NHC. If it is possible, just compare a 20k km run NHC with a 50 k km run OHC and you will notice that the OHC is holding up much better than the NHC. the only thing going for the NHC is its FE. Somewhere on the thread there was a question on whether there was a OHC Vtec AT and the answer is yes there was. I have seen one personally.
