Car does not have extended warranty. BMW says warranty may be extended to 6years only if approved by BMW sales head north. Trying for extended warranty. Shall update if it works in favor.

You will probably notice the viscous drag with xW-50.
Thanks man, Will keep this in mind during the next change.

Have confirmed from my source at BMW service station regarding genuineness of odometer reading. Guy said car is clean and perfect.
What should be the fair value of the car. Owner asking 42lac.
Absurd pricing, Remember pricing in north is much cheaper than in MH, 34-35 i think should be a good price.

You can always opt for BSI, Regardless if your car has had it before or not, But the thing you lose out is on the Number of years & Km's running, BSI date will start from the day the vehicle was sold, So mostly getting the BSI after a couple of years makes it really expensive, Still anyone planning to keep the car longer can always opt for the 10 year one.

They do that often for customers, Push for it.

25,000+ Kms of pure driving pleasure.

15 months back when i bought her & after driving it for more than 25,000 kms, Man i just can't help but enjoy every single time i drive the car, The driving pleasure has been majorly enhanced post the Remap+ Downpipe & till date never i felt that i am bored with the car & i need a change, I can easily say it again, This might very well be the car that i would keep for a long time, Its such a perfect all rounder for my kind of use.

Its like mandatory to have a highway trip least once a week, And yes it does happen, Some pictures from several of my recent drives, Including a superb one on the beach (Videos to follow soon )

Drove the car during rains a bit and man the tyres don't get ANY kind of grip at all! This is when the car is in comfort mode and with slight jab of the accelerator, But with still some life left on the tyres i think ill wait till the tyres are worn completely, But as of now i just cannot even think of revving the car even a bit while its pouring, Have to be careful during the monsoon trips now.

Upgrades pending:
Performance Tyres
Bilstein Suspension

Some more pictures & videos coming soon! Having said this, Oil change is due for service in the next 1500 kms, Had changed it 5500 kms back.

Thanks bhai, Indeed it is gorai beach, If you plan to visit do check the low tide timings and go, Cars are not allowed on the beach during high tide.

Won't the salty water play havoc with the electrical's and the car in general?

I think that's why Tanveer Sir posted pictures of the car getting washed.

A good body + underbody wash as soon as possible after a beach run wouldn't be an issue. Any delay will create havoc.

I stay in Mira Road and the beach is hardly 10km from my place. The place is perfect for barbeque get together and we usually call the resorts located on the beach front to comform about the tide. Cars are not allowed on the beach and you will find a board informing you about it as soon as you enter the beach but cops usually don't care.
If you want to avoid the crowd then I would suggest Manori beach which is a few km after gorai beach.

I actually did not take my car near the water, I had fun well before the water so only mildly wet sand was there, Still its fine to enjoy the car on the beach if the car is washed properly post that, There are infact several car washer's right after you exit the beach on the way to the main road, But all of them are always full. I know a few people who regularly take their germans to the beach and get it washed post that & have never faced an issue.

Oh is it! Indeed i was planning to check out manori too, perhaps next time.

I have always been able to access the beach by car during the low tide timings.

I'd take ripped off over what BMW Bavaria Motors did to my car. They filled it up with this stuff during my last service. right in front of me. And assured me this is authorized BMW oil.

Is that engine oil stored in a can that originally had anti corrosion coating or other chemical. Way to go Bavaria Motors!

I've been trying to get in touch with BMW for a while. When i contacted them on social media they told me to go to the dealer. Which is insane. I'm supposed to complain about the dealer to the dealer? What good will that do?

I have no idea. as far as i can tell, these guys don't even make engine oil. So i have to assume the worst.

Mods.. sorry. in my frustration forgot to use the multi-quote feature.

Oil is purchased in bulk (barrels) from a supplier which is standard practice across service centres. SCs normally have automated dispensers with nozzles in service bays much like a petrol/diesel dispenser at a petrol pump. Punch in the volume required, stick the nozzle into the engine oil filler and hey presto you get a precise volume of lube. No hassle, no mess, and no under/over filling.

Lack of oil dispensing machines at a BMW service station? Shame on you Bavaria Motors. I really wish they would show a little finesse and sophistication when maintaining luxury cars. It's a sad reflection on the dealership. Not acceptable! I'd be vocal about my dissatisfaction if I were you and give the workshop manager a piece of my mind.

This was done at a service camp in Nashik. They did everything else perfectly. being a BSI car they took all the photos for all the filters etc. Just messed up with the oil.

I'll be on the case come monday. No one will even bother over the weekend.
