re: My Pre-worshipped Monster : BMW 530d M-Sport [F10] EDIT: Sold after 72000+km!

Even my 530d does not have adaptive dampers. It is a 2013 MY model same as GTOs. So I doubt if any of the 530ds in India came with the adaptive dampers.

Alright my bad. I misunderstood it as air suspension. I guess in this segment only the A6 get's the air suspension then.

Also the 5GT has air suspension in the rear. And that's if you consider it as a 5 series car.

Congratulations...!!!

A G30 and the M kit as well, that's a swell car.

Is it GJ registered? Can you post some interior photos and share the shortlisting and purchase process as well please?

Great choice of colour too.

Wish you joy and happiness and a new adventure altogether with this new ride!

Yes it is GJ registered. I am preparing for the ownership thread with entire saga of this process. RC transfer, BSI transfer etc is still pending. took the delivery on Mahashivratri, happens to be the festival i was born on the day. I didnt have much of a color choice though, since its a pre-owned.

A Short Summary post B6 Install.

It feels very stiff from around 20kph - 50kph, Still getting used to, Comfort is no way near how it was in the stock form, Stock dampers with tubeless had really spoiled me for amazing ride quality, But the kind of power the car is making i had to compromise it for better handling, And man here comes the good part.

The faster you go the better it gets! Is a bad thing in a way? Does sound like atleast! You don't realise the speed your doing nor do you realise now how fast your cornering or changing lanes ! The car anyways masked speeds amazingly and this has taken a notch above, Remember i am on stock springs as of now, Even the body roll has reduced a lot, While gunning it from standstill, Hard cornering, the car simply is SOLID ! The ride height has increased as well, I am not scraping any speed breakers now which i used to easily before! I may even jump in to swap the springs..

Only thing which gives up now and can't keep up with the cars power and handling are the tyres, I seriously need to import some really good performance oriented rubbers in 275 sections or even 285-295!?!? 050+ Dunlops are very good tyres no doubt, But post B6 install the car maintains its line like crazy during hard cornering and its only the tyres which can't keep up with it. Perhaps will import a set once these wear out soon..

More on how the car drives post B6 soon, Have several pending highway drives to be done..

Oil changed, B6 Installed, Alignment Done & the Car is 100% fit.

Hi tanveer , hope you're doing well , any updates on the F10?
I also own a f10 520d and was planning to do a lateral upgrade , as it's called here , to the 530d.
Only the F10 is what I'll be looking for. The search begins!

Hi Tanveer how's your car riding on the B6 so far? I recently changed my 520 D's shocks for bilstein b6's. Just as how you'd shifted from run flats to regular tubeless tyres, i had also done the same and as you had mentioned in your short review of the b6, the stiffness is definitely there and it is no where near the comfort level what it used to be at (ofcourse I was expecting this) but i had gone for a short highway drive with a friend and i was surprised that the ride was pretty bouncy. Are you feeling the same in your car?

P.S- I had also changed the suspension bushes in my car, dunno if they're the culprits.

Go For it, The engine is next level, 520d comes no where close to it, It will be like your driving a new car altogether, In terms of power and drivability that is.

Hey man, I am yet to pen down the all the details for B6, But as with your question in short, Initially after switching to B6 you'll feel the the ride is very bouncy, It was for me too, But it toned done quite a bit after driving around 500-800 kms and now its bouncy only from around 30-60kph, Which is bearable and it gets flatter and flatter with more speed you pickup..Basically post b6 the car becomes another animal on the highways, But can be a little annoying at city speeds, But eventually youll get used to it and no way its back breaking either, So its a good balance in the end.

Update on car :
A lot has happened in the past 6-8 months, Right when i thought i have maxed out all the mods on my car, turns out i haven't. Detailed update in the coming week.

Completely agree with you here but the 10-year diesel ban in NCR completely ruins it for me. I've started considering petrol-powered BMW's (namely the 330i and the 530i). I know they're both a 2 litre 4 cylinder unit but it will still be a step up from what I have . I personally love the G20 330i but dad is not in favour of going from a 5 to a 3.
