Engine Oil Change Update & More :



The car was serviced and all the required consumables were changed around 18,300 kms, I bought the car when it was at 19,100 kms, Current ODO is around 24,500 kms, (Clocked around 5,500 kms in about 2.5 months, Most of it in & around city) Even though idrive was showing 1200 kms for the oil change i decided to get it done, I might have to travel for a 1500 kms trip any day and i wouldn't have liked to cross the oil change mark, I am really particular about changing the engine oils in my car's on time, Rather most of the time its always 1000 to 2000 kms before its due.

This was my second dealing with Infinity Worli and i am again impressed, Earlier they replaced the rear fog light in half hour & even rectified the oil change data since they had not updated it during the 18,000 kms service.

My SA even told me since the engine oil was changed at 18,000 kms you can still use it for 2,000 to 3,000 kms more & they can update the data in the car, Well i didn't feel like risking it, I have by no means taken easy on the car, Have been gunning it at every open stretch i get, Since the car was already there i asked them to change it anyways as i did not want to send the car back after a couple of weeks.

Now the Estimate i received had a total amount of 61,000 INR!



Only after looking closely i could see they have added several multiple things which according to them was "Recommended". Polishing, Interior detailing, AC Fumigation (3.4k) etc, I asked my SA to simply remove all such things including alignment & balancing (I had done it a while back at Straight line) & the total bill came up to 15,xxx ! I don't blame them, The email i had clearly mentioned all extras under recommended, All of it was removed quickly & i was completely not forced to go for any of it so all good.

I was pleased to see i was not charged for pick up & drop facility & not for a car wash as well, The car was shining from outside & inside both. A Few other people had reported Navnit Motor in Andheri charges for both these things.

Just a week after i had bought the car i had a rear right fog light bulb konked off, Even the wipers had to be changed, Since one day i was already near Andheri, I called up Navnit motors to check if they had the wipers and the fog light in stock & the cost for it, After keeping the call on hold for 5 minutes they confirm both the parts are in stock, With wipers costing 4k a pair & fog lamp assembly 4k as well, I was confused on the fog lamp assembly part still i decided to drop down anyways, They checked the car & told me the rear right fog lamp assembly has to be changed and its not in stock, The part would cost me 16k and will take 2-3 weeks to come, About the wipers they said they don't have it in stock & it costs 10k, I told them why did they tell me over the phone that both the parts were in stock? I did not get any reply, The car was handed over to me in a very dirty way, My car had gone in cleaner & came out dirty & messed up, I bought the wipers from outside & Fog light was changed in 10 minutes at infinity worli which costed me 1.6k for a long life bulb.

Even if i leave this as a one of experience i myself have got to know couple of stories from friends where navnit motors had ripped off their customers, Even the dealer from Quick car world asked me to stay away from Navnit motors because of what his clients had experience with them as well. For people who have warranty & BSI don't need to worry though, Still keeping your eyes & ears open are always good.

I totally had no idea the shortcut keys are touch sensitive, You can just keep your finger over them slightly & move from one number to another shows & toggles the shortcuts you have saved, Super cool! I have set number 1 has my home address in navigation, Where ever you are and you want to head back home, Just press the number 1 key & navigation to your home starts!

Wiper Stalk has a green light which lit's up when you activate the auto wiper function.


She drives like a dream, I look forward to get up everyday & find reasons to take her out.

Factory visits? No problem too!

Lunch is just another excuse!

Update :
I knew it, I could not even wait more than a couple of months to modify her a bit, Even though she was aggressive with the M sport kit, There is soo much more that can be done, I had seen a couple of pictures of a 530d with quad tips, The heck have seen a couple of 530d's around Mumbai with them, Looked really aggressive/Wicked, A quick call to a best friend of mine and he directed me to guys who does such kind of work specially and have done it on several 530d's before.

All the work was done at Suchila Autotechnik, I am satisfied with their work, They also fixed my driver's side door actuator which was giving me issues (Not locking/Unlocking by key & Unlock button inside)

Have got the carbon fibre diffuser along with Akrapovic tips with custom piping to activate the extra tips as well (I did not want to have dummy tips on the other side)

I haven't had a chance to click proper pictures of it, But here are some of the pictures of the car as of now.

Also, Being tired of inaccurate tyre pressure machines are pumps, I decided to get my self this, Michelin MN-4203 Digital Tyre Gauge.




Really liked it, Shows me accurate tyre pressure. Small enough to be easily kept anywhere in the car. It also comes with a tyre tread depth gauge, Both my rear tyres are on 7.1 MM & front at 7.2MM, Seems the Turanzas are holding on pretty good considering that more than 6,000 kms is already clocked on them & people who sit next to me or join me for drives know, I floor every chance that i get!

Update :

I have already driven her 7,200 kms in a little more than 3 months time, She is a dream to drive every time i take her out, Had gone to this lovely place 160 kms away from the city, What roads, What scenes totally mind blowing, There were parts were i felt i was really not in India, This was probably one of the best drives i have had, Burned rubber, Burned fuel, Burned some oil, But nothing is worth more than the smile that's pasted on your face all the time your driving, Big thanks to Bhpain varun raizada for pointing out this location!



Left home with 7.2 MM of thread dept on both the rear tyres, Came back with only 5.9 MM left! 2000 Kms of Brake pads life gone, 1000 kms of engine oil life burned! All of this in a 320kms round trip! Now that's how one should live his life with a 530d!

The clouds above made sure we had a lovely weather all the time!

Coding : A Superbly friendly guy coded my car from another city via remote support by sending his cables and software via courier for a super cheap cost, He was very friendly, Super Quick & extremely flexible to work with, His contact details are as follows. They are purely aesthetics for now, Both sides are active via custom piping though, Being a diesel i need to do proper research before trying to extract any kind of extra performance & sound.

She is exactly 4 months and a day old for me & i have already clocked more than 9,000 kms with her! Superb to drive every single time & i still getup every morning with a itch to drive her somewhere.

She is visiting the highways every weekend! 5th weekend in the row for me, With 3 of them being the same destination as before, Tamhini Ghat! Superb Roads, Monsoon and a 6 cylinder RWD

One of those really superb drive was with Bhpian iliketurtles remapped Jetta & Bhpian danishp9797 520d to Tamhini ghat and back! Had fun ! We were soo into the drive that we really din't even click some good photos!

White color bimmer will be my all time favourite!








I was really taking it easy on the way back, Cruise control check! Adaptive LED's ON Check! Eco Pro Mode Check! Navigation Check! Auto Wiper check! & all i had to do was enjoy the view and some good music.


I don't let the fuel level drop below 100 kms of range & i fuel up only till the auto cut off, Is also recommended to do the same in the manual.




Planning to complete the 10,000 kms mark of driving her before the end of next week!

good to see a trouble free ownership experience. I would strongly recommend to go for this ceramic coating by your known detailer. I have seen quite a few blue germans with this coat and the depth of the color just impresses me to the extent that the money is worth. and it does come with less maintenance and shiny car for quite a long period. Paint protection is another side effect. below my comments on related thread.

Would suggest filling up when the tank is at the 1/4th level. It's anyway got a big belly, so not like you'll be doing it too often. Sometimes, a 100 km range can mean just 7 liters in the tank. The only time my car has seen its 'fuel reserve light' on has been on the used car dealer's parking lot.

It was a superb drive though, that one crazy stretch apart. Large swoopy bends, asphalt on large parts of the road and greenery that would give Hulk's complexion a complex.

Begs the question, where to next?

I will be taking a call on this after the monsoon, I have already got a couple of quotes varying from 30 to 50k, I have seen these coats in person but frankly i am the old school kind of guy to get the car polished at a reputed shop every 6 months, But well maybe i might just give the ceramic a shot.

Couldn't agree more, The way she eats up those kms, Regardless of the distance you have covered you feel you had just started, The engine + Gearbox combo is totally unbeatable.

You already know that i had distraction level to 100% And you already know why was the 530d being driven sedately & in eco pro mode on the way back
