Friends, watch this space for my future drives with MU X. Planning to make videos of my travel and share it with you people.

20K service - First engine oil change for my MU X.

Engine oil change after running 20k or 2yrs is the longest and best in the country. Changed oil filter, AC filter, engine oil, rear reverse lamp, front break pads. Paid 15,528-784 = 14,744/-. 784/- is for differential oil which is charged by mistake and was promised to adjust the amount in my next service bill. No complaints regarding that, as i did not check the bill before paying. Service experience is very good as its a small town service center, and my vehicle is the only one being serviced that day, hence my MU X got full attention.

Your vehicle gets pampered when its the only one to be serviced that day.

Front break pads has 2-3K life still left on them, but changed them in advance. Its pretty decent life of break pads for such a heavy vehicle.

Most economical SUV(in its category) in the market right now, and isuzu proved it with out making any noise.

Isuzu is known for making the best diesel engines around the world, and isuzu vehicles are known to last for a long time, i feel MU X is no different. But isuzu is very very poor in marketing their passenger vehicles, i think they are happy selling their trucks and commercial vehicles. Hope they learn this and start an aggressive marketing campaign soon.

Went on a small drive to a beautiful beach close to my place. Small breaks like these keeps me going on a good note.

Wow amazing video, Doc! But isn't higher than 240p resolution available?
How did you shoot it? By drones? Could you please let me know more about the equipment?

Hi Drbones,
My biggest concern is dual Airbags, apart from that the vehicle is good.

How is the pricing support for Mu-X? Do we have space for bargain?

Or you know any one who purchased Mu-X 4X4 recently in bangalore?

I am visiting their showroom tomorrow. I will be zeroing on either Fortuner or Mu-X.

Thanks,
Praveen

Doc, can you please post the pics of the last row seats and luggage space when 3rd row is up?

Asking you as there is no official review of this car.

Congratulations on your MU-X 4X4 automatic!!!

Ride quality

This is where the MU-X shines, and beats Ford and Toyota hands down. Suspension is super supple and MU-X glides over bad roads and potholes, truly built for Indian roads. ...

This I can vouch for...the suspension is amazing...recently was in the passenger seat of MU-X during off-road drive in the Palar river bed...I was able to take a video as the vehicle was going over bumps/undulations without a shake :thumbs up

On-road, when going over speed-breakers...awesome again!

MU X feels rock solid when compared with Fortuner and endeavour. Its a much better vehicle than both, highly under rated. Try your luck at bargaining, Now MU X is available with 5yr or 150K kms warranty and free service which makes it an SUV to consider.

Thanks, Suspension and ride quality is light years ahead of the competition. Even third row is usable.

And how did you judge them? Especially the rock solid part.

I have found the middle seats to be less spacious than Fortuner. Endeavour's middle seat for 2 passengers is ok, for third, its a bit of compromise.

Have you done any recent trips with your vehicle loaded fully?

How does the vehicle behave on rough roads?

Now that you have spent considerable amount of time, what is your thought about the gear box?

31.5K on the odo till date, and not a squeak or rattle till date. I used MU X on some of the worst roads. BTW its all about personal opinion. Regarding 2nd row comfort, i had travelled in all the 3 SUVs for considerable amount of time, 1st is MU X, 2nd is Fortuner, 3rd is endeavour( its really bad). Its all about personal choice and judging the comfort before spending some hard earned money.

After tipeshwar drive, nothing exciting. I will be doing a monsoon drive in the western ghats of maharastra next week, starting from 10th july. Let me see how the drive is going to turn out. I always travel with full load, behavior of the vehicle on rough roads depend on the way one drives. Rough roads is where suspension of MU X comes in to play. I have no complaints regarding gearbox, its a reliable and good one. This gearbox can be mated till 4.5 lit engine.

If its monsoon it has to be western ghats.
