No, I don't think it includes the Oil. Checked the attached PDF from Nikhil Oil charges are not mentioned there.

It would be better if we get the total service cost including the oil.

Oil cost was around 3.5k-4k. You can check the price on Amazon. Maybe 4.5k for 6 litres.... dont remember exactly.

Will the dealership allow you to take oil from outside? I have tried this in the past and got a firm no.

I also was told a clear 'no' when I enquired before my TSI 30k km service.

re: 2017 Skoda Octavia vRS 230 | 4 years and 83000 km

I'm heartbroken today.

I reached Hyderabad yesterday for our company's annual conference and we are staying in Sitara Hotel at Ramoji Film City.

I parked my car in their dedicated parking space just behind the hotel. About 30 metres from the main porch.

Some jackass has taken a blade to my car and caused extremely deep scratches on the hood, the passenger side front door and rear door. A small scratch has also been seen on the rear left quarter panel.

We reviewed the CCTV footage (which the hotel is conveniently refusing to give me now) and we can see a black Nissan Micra bearing the number AP28 CJ 2217 coming in. One overweight dude gets out and clearly is seen scratching my car. This car came in at about 3:45 and left by 3:54.

Our conference had started at 3:00 but for some reason I wanted something from my car (I am really not able to remember it now) and I left the conference at 4:10, went up to my room, got my car key and went to the car when I noticed these scratches.

They are absolutely deep and horrific.

I raised hell at the hotel and got the GM involved and they got some police guys to make a visit.

the guy who scratched my car has been traced but he is a friend of a costume designer working for a Kannada movie production. The movie producer is not ready to take action as he will lose his costume designer.

The hotel GM initially spoke very well and assured me he "will take care of me 200%" but now he seems to be going back on his word and saying the police are involved, we will find the guy and make him pay, etc etc etc.

The hotel has a security system where they make a note of every car that comes in and goes and even though Im a guest at the hotel, they didnt allow me to park without giving my phone number or room number.

But this Micra guy was allowed to park and vandalise cars and they didnt take down his phone number.

The security guy is just walking around aimlessly doing timepass. Clearly not doing his job of "guarding" the area.

I am absolutely devastated as I have to now get the car repainted at the showroom and it will never be factory paint. And it's pretty much HALF THE CAR.

I am waiting for a meeting with the VP of this hotel. I am waiting to see how they plan on helping me out on this matter.

I am giving them a chance to sort it out amicably.

The hotel guys clearly dont know how much I love my car.

As soon as I reached the hotel (after a long drive from BLR), I didnt check in. I stood there in the sun, took my bottle of Pro-Klear Waterless Wash and started cleaning up all the bug splatters and everything from the hood, the front number plate and the bumper.

This is the extent to which I take care of my car and then this happens.

I am furious and frustrated.

PS: If the video doesnt play, please check back after a bit.... I just uploaded it and Youtube might still be processing it.

PPS: All I am demanding/requesting from the hotel is to compensate me for the repainting of my car and redoing the detailing that has been done and publicly documented.

I am not interested in getting even ONE RUPEE Extra from the hotel. I am not going to ask to be compensated for the loss of resale value, I am not going to ask for compensation for the amount I will be spending on taxi/Uber when my car is in the workshop.

I want a fair solution.

I just spoke to the GM and unfortunately,(maybe expected), the VP is not here today. Though yesterday everyone said he comes here everyday. He requested for time till tomorrow. So I will give them that time.

Damn, very sad to see this. I think that idiot looked at your KA registration car and thought it belonged to the Kannada film production team.

What a low life! Looks like a very deliberate effort to vandalise the car. I suspect one of his rivals or someone he hates has a blue VRS

I feel your pain.

re: 2017 Skoda Octavia vRS 230 | 4 years and 83000 km

What an absolute and complete atrocity. Firstly, I am just baffled at why someone would randomly come and vandalise a well maintained car. I mean, what the hell is wrong with these people?? I have had an identical incident with my new Swift many in 2012, just a couple of months after I got delivery of the car. Some moron of the same ilk had just created a really deep scratch on my car, so deep that it remains clearly visible to this day. I was heartbroken at the time, but with time, Ive got over it and left it as it is. Its right under the wing mirror. But that said, I can completely understand how you must be feeling.

Secondly, really interested to know how the hotel persons react to this incident, especially since there is clear evidence of who did this dastardly act. This guy should be sent to jail on charges of vandalism.

This is sick Nikhil, and I'm almost feeling like getting the Baseball Bat in my boot and meeting this low-life!

I still recount the anger/frustration I had when some moron had scratched the entire driver side door (on purpose) of my 10 day old GT. This amount of vandalism is sheer crime, and I think you must just go completely legal against that moron and the hotel staff.

The irony is that I saw you cruising on Siddiah road (opposite A1 Car Care) just last Wednesday, and was grinning ear to ear looking at your vRS.

All said and done, I really understand your heartbreak, and although no words can comfort you, just get the paint sorted at the earliest to get some sort of peace.

Dude in AP28 CJ 2217 Nissan if you are reading this, you are sick and probably a coward also. Go get some mental help.

My Crysta suffers a ding on the rear right door bestowed upon it by a low life while parked at an apartment parking. Happened when the vehicle was not even an year old.

Damn. Such a cowardly and intentional act. As a car lover and owner I can feel your pain. Happened to me as well few years back though we didn't know who did it. I hope you have filed a proper police complaint as I don't see hotel doing the needful for you and only taking the course of law may yield what you are expecting.

Sorry to see this, sick people!

@nikhil are you sure you need a repaint, maybe a detailing and clear coat would solve this? I would suggest keeping painting as a last option. You know the people to talk to, do check.

Can't express my anger at this... The way we treat our cars and then such idiots come out and cause damage for no reason. The best option will be to get the hotel guys involved. It happened under their noses. Despite the standard disclaimer of "parking at owner's risk", it's totally the fault of the hotel. Thanks for sharing your experience, will be trying to avoid that place and will especially warn friends and family going to Hyderabad.
