The Accumulated Info screen does not reset on fuel refill if set so on MID. Logically, if one changes the setting to not reset initially, that should go on to show the cumulative mileage. Again, the restriction will be at 9999 kms for distance, but the mileage shown should be true.

Re: Review - Next Gen Verna (Diesel) unplugged, on a highway

RaghuChn, thanks for taking time to compile your honest observations that I am sure will benefit many who are eager to know more about the different performance aspects of the new Verna.

The stock halogen projectors are good. On reaching Bangalore, I took the car to Advaith Hyundai ORR and got the headlamp bulbs changed to Orsam Xenon kit. Took about 40 minutes to complete the upgrade. And boy!! The Rs. 12,000/- spent on it was worth every penny.
I am curious to know more about your headlamp upgrade, how long is the startup time or did you notice any delay before the HID comes to its full brightness? Do you by any chance have photos to compare the light throw between Halogen and HID in low/high beams from the driver seat?

Thanks X-Factor. Yes, the HID takes about 4-5 seconds to get to its full glory. Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of the Halogen projector's throw from driver's seat. I will click those of the HID and share soon.

Re: The 5th-Gen Hyundai Verna: 1st Ownership Review

OSRAM HID kit is availabe in two options based on brightness(+130% and +200% is what Osram calls) for each of the bulb holder options. The first has an MRP of Rs8999 while the latter is priced at Rs11000.

The distributor at Bangalore retails it at Rs7200 and Rs8800 to the Dealers.

Product has 1 year warranty, and requires a hole to be drilled(for heat dissipation of Ballast) on the dust cap, Applicable for Verna, Creta and i20 twins.

The distributor(sorry, I forgot his name) can be contacted directly at 9035692779

PS : This is only for the benifit of BHP-ians and I am not at all assosiated with Distributor or OSRAM

Re: The 5th-Gen Hyundai Verna: 1st Ownership Review

Thanks for the info!! Useful for so many folks who may want to upgrade.

Looks like I paid a few thousands extra for the +130% . But there's no MRP marked on the box - so, I had no way of knowing even an approximate price, when I upgraded.

I checked the original car cover for Hyundai Verna when I went for first service. Great cover at around 1500 INR. Good buy - it has a ceramic coating to prevent scratches

Re: The 5th-Gen Hyundai Verna: 1st Ownership Review

I am actually thinking of getting the car itself coated (Nano Ceramic Coating). Any expert opinions?

Better to do it after a year? The paint will be glossy early on

The "got bhp" sticker looks great on the Hyundai Verna. Very nice product from team-bhp

Hi

The Trident Dealer in Bangalore is charging around 3.5 K for handling charges. Anyone who had to pay this amount for the new Verna ?

Regards,

Definitely did not pay it. You should try getting those charges removed.
