Yes, there's day and night difference between normal H8/H11 halogen fog bulbs and LEDs. The corners especially when driving close to the divider are more brighter.

Are H11 bulbs compatible with H8 ones? Heard that H11s have higher wattage than H8s. Does this not burn out after sometime?

The stock fog bulbs were just like 'Diyas'

As Prodigy mentioned, the LED's certainly help in illuminating the sides of the road when driving. This could also vary on the type of LED you buy i.e 2/3/4 sided. The LED's do not help in improving the throw of the overall light though, the area a few metres ahead of the car are brighter and that's about it. I personally feel a projector setup would be better, something like this.

H8/H9/H11 are all essentially the same so it shouldn't be an issue. The stock fog lights are 35W, you get many LED lights with the same wattage.
