Re: A year with the driver's car: Hyundai Creta 1.4L CRDi E Plus

Prices are very high indeed!

Which alloys are they? Set of 4 or 5? Please post pictures if you have them.

Third party fog-DRL starts at around 7K (Amazon), but not sure about quality and durability. Other members please chip in.

What I did was test drive the i20 with 1.4L engine.
The Hyundai 1.4L is a sedate driver's engine. Its quite smooth and has enough power to cruise at 100 kmph on the highways. I have not done overtaking at speeds above that, so cannot comment. But I found the engine adequate for normal driving.

Which music ststem with reverse camera would be the best fit for the car? 50000 is filthy expensive.

Well, a nice set of alloys, drl with fog lamps, roof rail, headlight bulb upgrade & shark fin antenna are on the card.

I have a Blaupunk infotainment system (San Diego 530) which I had got for Brezza 2 years back - never actually got to install in the car as I let her go within one year, didn’t like the low end performance. The unit has become slightly outdated now(no Android Auto and Apple Car Play), but has satnav though. Will use it and save some bucks.

No, I didn’t try Verna, not interested in sedan right now. Though did a TD of previous generation 1.3 S-Cross. Build quality is solid but 1.3 MJD lets it down.
How much was the waiting period for creta 1.4? Any discounts?

No discounts in Creta

The waiting period is 1-1.5 months. The most difficult part- waiting!

If it's only torque you can look at 1.4 over 1.6 petrol

My issue was with seat height as well, as my reference point was my old Ritz and the other Pseudo SUVs in contention.

Apart from Audio system, fog lamps and rear camera I am doubtful if anything else will be added by dealer. You may have to explore after market accessories for few other stuff.
How is the performance of the AVH-X8890BT?
Would you recommend it?

Not bad. I m not an audiophile and serves my purpose but I will not recommend it because-
1. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the dashboard and doesn't fit in
2. I am sure there are better Android Auto models out there than what was available when I bought it and you should check the newer ones.

I've sent a PM sir

Never knew something of this sort existed! I'll check it out
In addition to getting the features of the top model, you can change the bumpers and grill and make it look like the Facelifted Model.
