Yes, the car was inspected and as per workshop, my Amaze is not among the affected batch. Checked online too with the VIN and it's the same story.

Re: Getting the Moon home - Honda Amaze Petrol CVT in Lunar Silver

First service update: While not many kms have been covered, the first service scheduled at 6 months was done recently. The same was covered in the service package bought and no charges were levied. However I am disappointed with the service as the 2 main complaints related to steering centralization being out (with no alignment issue) and that of steering becoming extremely hard at parking speed have not been addressed. Will need to visit again to get these issues checked and addressed.

With short city runs of 5 kms on an alternate day basis, the FE fluctuates between 9-11 Kmpl. Not using the Amaze out on the highway so can't comment on the Highway FE.

2 weeks back the Second service was also done and there is no change in the FE.

Hello A.G. - would be helpful if you can update about any issues with the car.
Unless you are having a great ownership experience :-)
Thanks!

With very less usage last year, it was just the routine services. No issues experienced so far in the limited usage

Re: Getting the Moon home - Honda Amaze Petrol CVT in Lunar Silver

Hi AG

My friend is looking out for a new car and Amaze petrol is on the top of the list. I went with him to check out on the car. I like everything about the car except the very poor under thigh support on the front seats. My friend is a tall person (6.1ft) and it would be even worse for him. Because of this reason, decision is on hold and we are looking out for alternatives. Can you share your views on this ftom your personal experience ? I would like to hear from other Amaze owners as well.

Thanks!

Can you plz share if you or your dealer or after sales service guys did something about the underbody protection (or the lack of it)?

In your usage so far, has this been an issue, esp. when wading through the water logged area ?

As expected, the dealer didn't help for any underbody protection.

Crossing a water logged area even in D mode is not an issue but just to be on the safe side I always switch to S mode and 1st gear so that the Engine RPMs are high.

Steering wheel with paddle shifts (7 shift points)
I took the test drive today on the VX variant, and one thing I sorely missed was the horn!. In my Swift, the horn buttons are on the outer side, so I just need to move my thumbs to honk. But here, the horn is only in the middle of the steering wheel, so in order to honk I need to move my hand from the steering wheel to the center and honk.
I find this to be not only inconvenient, but also a safety hazard as I have to leave the steering wheel (albeit just one hand, but still).
Can you plz share your thoughts on whether you found this inconvenient as well, and how did you overcome it ?

The only inconvenience I feel is with the horn pad being a bit harder for my liking. But the missing buttons on the extremes has grown-up on me (probably in the muscle memory itself as I am at a loss of words to put down what I exactly do for honking) since all other cars in the garage have the exact same arrangement for the horn with there being only the central horn pad.
