Superb Review!

I drove the XC40 Momentum very recently and found it incredibly relaxing and easy to drive. I didn't feel the same about the Mercedes Benz GLA when I sat in it a few years ago.

I love the XC40 for its honesty. It doesn't pretend to be sporty like its rivals. That is what makes it so cool!

Car of the YEAR 2018- 19 in Japan is Volvo's XC40.

I know the demand and the momentum have added to the pricing but I feel it is a tad over priced.

First Premium Car Award 2019 by ICOTY goes to Volvo XC40.

The runner up in this category was also from Volvo, the XC60 :)

It would have easily won our COTY too if not for its niche segment. Even then the way it is performing speaks volumes about Volvo's efforts here. Now if only they could get competitive on the price front which is quite significant given that the big 3 players in that segment offer handsome discounts all year around.

Agreed. I voted for the Marazzo, but I hadnt quite noticed the XC40 because of its premium pricing....so I didnt realize what a gem of a car it is. A tad overpriced, but then again its a car whose feature lists are truly awesome.

Audi Q3 Vs BMW X1 Vs Volvo XC40 - which is the better one? Yes, You guessed it right:)

2019 Volvo XC40 and XC60 named IIHS Top Safety Picks.

Volvo XC40 is that only one of the two received the highest Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Quote:

The deviation here is all based on the headlights, as has been the case with so many cars of late. The XC40's optional headlights earned the highest "Good" rating, which is necessary for the "+" whereas the optional headlights on the XC60 were rated slightly lower at "Acceptable." Otherwise, both vehicles earned "Good" marks across the board in crash tests and the highest rating for automatic emergency braking.

Volvo XC40 EV to debut later this year. Market launch in 2020.

The XC40 will be the first battery-driven model from the Swedish brand and the second full-electric vehicle from the Volvo Car Group. The first was the Polestar 2, which the group’s electrified performance brand debuted in February and revealed to the public at the Geneva auto show this month.

The XC40, which was the 2018 European Car of the Year, is Volvo’s No. 2-selling model globally after its large sibling, the XC60.

Being a present Kodiaq owner who TD'ed the XC40 but did not buy because of attitude issues of the SA. I felt the XC40 more peppy and modern compared to the Kodiaq. I am curious to know why do you prefer the Kodiaq.

Maybe it is me but in Bangalore, I hardly see any XC40's. I'd be lucky to see one every fortnight. I do see plenty of XC90's and now and then the XC60. As for Kodiaqs, I see them daily.

Agree! I guess that is because a typical customer in that segment (upgrading from "regular" SUVs to the "premium" bracket) is wooed by the brand value that the 3 Germans command as opposed to the Swede.

Saw an unregistered one last month. Has serious road presence in my opinion.

Pardon my ignorance but is the XC40 not equipped with AWD?
