PS: I also own a KIA.
Keen eye there. I do live in Parramatta. Would be nice to have a Team BHP meet. Wonder how many more are around?

PMed you.

One of a kind car. Congratulations and have fun!

Are you keen on taking the car to track days?

Nice car, write up mate. Beautifully narrated. Wishing you happy miles and memorable ownership experience.

By the way another Sydneysider.

I intend to, but the practical side of me says it's a practical luxury family car, and I have to keep it pristine for years. Head vs heart.

Re: Move like a butterfly, stings like a bee - First Kia Stinger on Team-BHP

Congrats on the Stinger. That is one droolworthy car! And yes, it probably saved you thousands over an equivalent German.

BTW, I am also in Sydney - though I don't own a car. Much rather prefer public transport since I'm here for only a couple of years.

I too own a Jetta in India (mk6) which I've left now with my parents.

We should plan for a team-bhp meet in Sydney. I live in the Lane Cove area, but can come over to the Parrametta side if that works out convenient for everyone else

If the heart wins, then let me know. Will hook you up with a drivers club in FB.

Congrats buddy.

I believe following areas in the review need to be revisited, or correct me if I am wrong.
1. ‘The torque delivered in 1500-1800 rpm range’, seems very very small range for any car.
2. ‘The turning radius of 11.2m’.

Note: I am not finding faults in your hard work, but trying to help to make your review near perfect.

No worries.

1. I meant the car is able to deliver most of the torque available starting as low was 1500-1800 rpm.

2. Turning diameter of 11.2 m, radius of 5.6 m

Then I understood the first point wrong. My second observation still stands. I have seen most of the video reviews of Kia Stinger and I just love the way it looks. Hope they bring it to India so that I could see some one else buying it .

Re: Move like a butterfly, stings like a bee - First Kia Stinger on Team-BHP

In the last 20 years the distinguishing lines between brands and their positioning has been getting blurred and still more blurred. Two decades back a Kia was a Kia and a BMW or Merc was a BMW or Merc. But now quality, features, interiors, looks {drop dead gorgeous} are making those lines hazy. Love this change. Toyota and Lexus could learn a thing or two from Kia about looks!!!

Earlier buyers used to consider Hyundai a Tier-II brand. But when you see this car or a Genesis and their first class service support it makes you wonder.

Congratulations on your new asset.
