Re: Ford Figo 1.5L Dragon AT - Ownership Review

Interesting review at 3500km. You are doing it quite fast, might I add. That said, I agree that there is no engine sound really. Infact, when am parking at home, sometimes I have to hit the a pedal to know if the car is still running. Should one nitpick, one issue I would point out, 1.2 manual in my case, is that the overtakes have to be planned. It involves a downshift, rarely two!

Belated congrats on the car giri1.8. I feel its the right choice.

In fact i never noticed that Figo 1.5 (Dragon engine) AT (TC) existed until i saw this thread.

Yes spot on. I felt the same when i drove my friend's Freestyle recently. Its a nice set up. i found it pretty accurate & having a neutral feel to it. Quite unlike most of the EPS equipped cars on sale these days.

The figo 1.5 has been taken off shelves with the bs6 update. Now, only the 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel are on offer. No automatic!

That makes this car a rarity even among us enthusiasts.
Just cannot understand what Ford gains by stopping it.Finally came up with a nice package only to goof up in the end.

Couldn't agree more. Especially with the bs6 revision, a lot of features seems to have been removed from the bs4 Figo! This, while the Figo isn't garnering as many takers as say, a nios or a swift.
Remains to be seen how it reflects in the sales figure. Already the figo is not seen much on the roads!

Last month's running was an exception though, should be around 1.5k a month, which has been the case so far with all my cars.

This is common for most 1.2 and smaller NA petrol engines, Ford being one of the better among the lot.

Thanks mate! Car has surely paid the price for marketing team's lack of interest to sell this model, down the line many people wouldn't know such an car existed !!!

Booked 1.5 AT, most probably the last one ever! And your review helped a lot in the decision.

Will keep you posted.

Thanks Giri.
One query about the tyre change.
Did Ford service say anything about warranty? You have upgraded to 185/65 right?

Yes, have upgraded to 185 section continental tyres. No issue during first service though, not sure what would happen if some tyre related issue pops up.

Re: Ford Figo 1.5L Dragon AT - Ownership Review

Got my Oxford White Figo Titanium AT today. The car is December 2019 manufactured.
Initial impressions are good and this car is a keeper !

I am confused on whether to upsize the tyres to 185/65 R14 or keep 175/65 R14 ? . Any suggestions , please ?

If you are worried about warranty then 175 would be the one, I went for 185 since I wanted maximum grip for the 1.5 engine's performance

Congrats on getting this gem of a car. Blissful miles ahead.

Thanks.
I went ahead with 185/65 R14. Michelin Energy XM+.
I checked with Ford service and they were really supportive.
