I don’t know how to PM on TBHP. Links?
I booked mine at Titanium Ranchi. The discounts are in existent. Delhi dealer Infinity gave an offer of 175000 standard + 50000 corporate discount + 25000 in free accessories.

I am in the market for a msport in BLR but discounts are minimal at best. from what i'm told they don't have support from BMW for discount, I assume it is because they just started rolling out cars and hence inventory is small. considering i've waited this long, waiting for the new C may also be a good idea (apologies in advance to all the BMW fans) but the new C from video's looks awesome.

I guess the discounts will come in only later in the year when the inventory becomes better. the X1 for eg have some good offers now.

I agree C looks quite a looker. I however think it will definitely be 50+ ex showroom for the base variant. Is there any word about its launch?

4) Got brake pads checked - 8mm is remaining on the rear Tyres (comes with stock 10mm, lasts till about 3-4mm i believe) - Currently i have BSI till 40K Kms, should i be upgrading to BSI plus?
1) Rubbish! DM in BLR uses the same Hunter machines that the top tyre shops use. Just get it done outside and definitely retain the pre/post report in your 330i documents. Incidentally, after 9.8K km my tyre readings were slightly lower at ~4-4.5 mm. Assume you have the stock Turanza T005s? Planning to move to tubeless or better RFTs like the Michelin 3ZP?

2) Rubbish again, just ensure you don't have too many small leaves (e.g. gulmohar types) or debris stuck in your sunroof channels/mechanism. Also, use it as much as you can.

3) Same here. Actually, in BLR car washing at most authorized workshop is not allowed due to a NGT ban. Anyway, better to avoid - even the best OEMs are not very careful about the car wash part.

4) Eeeks, never checked my readings - will ask my SA to pull out my records if he can. I also have exact similar BSI, you can answer my question here too .

pre/post report - this would be to debunk any claims of warranty voiding due to getting this done outside? Wear has been decent i would say, the SA said these typically last ~20K kms, and a few people reach 25K. I have warranty till 4 years currently, would probably stick to RFTs for the next set - since any suspension repairs could be massive

Agree with the above, mostly this sounds like a ploy to generate some additional revenue in times of COVID.

Car washing i feel is something i can do myself with the Bosch Pressure Washer, Shampoo, Wax polish kit that I've got. Maybe dry cleaning could be required - can be done by independent detailer. Engine bay cleaning is something I would prefer by BMW, planning to take this up myself using minimal water, all purpose cleaner

- right now the SA told me we can upgrade to BSI plus if the brake pads give away - should be done before initiating service, with an inspection. Also he mentioned the discs would be changed only on second brake pad change. At current rate - i do not see the brake pad getting changed more than once by 3 year 40 K BSI time period. I generally drive sedately 90% of the time (long term efficiency of ~14KMPL ) 10% is when i unleash it on the Aravalli range (with no speed cams) early mornings

The service and some other minor repairs (rattles related) were done and the car was delivered today.

Following is some of the information that would aid in taking BSI plus.

Rear brake pads cost 32000 + taxes
Front brake pads cost 35000 + taxes
Discs - ~ 15000 + taxes each

I was quite frankly not expected this range of pricing - (though they probably cost like 20K or so per pair)

My approach will be - the day i get a brake pad replacement message from the iDrive, i will take BSI Plus and get it replaced.

Also some atrocious pricing on tires - 23000 (for tire) + 5000 for installation and WB WA is separate (12000 + taxes)

The 'significant other' got her own share of TLC today. This VAG Rio Red colour is especially difficult for smartphone cameras to interpret, especially with fast moving clouds over strong sunlight.

But here goes:

re: My 2020 BMW 330i Sport (G20) Review. EDIT: 2 years & 27,000 km up

Reached the magic 10K km figure after 13 months! Not bad given the innumerable lockdowns.

Better half (very coincidentally) celebrated by loading 41 potted plants into the 3. Was frankly amazed they fitted. They seemed to like Sport mode and bred inside because I took 43 out .

I kid you not, all these were in that boot. As Sam Kapasi would have put it when he finally grasped the last gen Superb's umbrella, 'paisa vasool' from that F30 boot mat .

Sent to pick up cement & sand sacks .

An absolutely stunning car you've brought home! Glad its going strong even a year later. But more importantly, the way the Octavia still looks brand spanking new deserves a bit more credit too! Kudos!

Just curious, why isn't the Octavia doing all these errands? It's the king of boot space. Car is looking great, this is a great colour in BMW palette.

Thank you, androdev!

Very correct statement; reason is have just got the Octavia detailed so trying to save it from the rains as much as I can. Roadworks (concreting, no less) on our primary access road also means guaranteed white muck all over everytime I take either out .

My version is very very basic, and makes even my 2016 Octavia Style+ look modern!
This is done! Now the Sport variant comes with Live Cockpit Professional with iDrive 7.0. Prices now 44.90 Lakhs ex-showroom.

Yes! Great news, removes the niggling thought of the globally phased out iD6 .

However, the price hikes are insane. I paid 41.7L ex showroom in June 2020, so in 13 months (when all sales collapsed), the price has been hiked ~8% to 44.9L .

Yes! not the best time if one wants to buy this car. They're inching closer to Merc strategy of only one fully loaded model. Just hope they keep the Sport variant around. The differences to the M Sport are now:
1) Wheel size
2) M body kit
3) Sport seats
4) M-Sport Steering wheel
5) Ambient lighting
6) Park assist (lateral and reversing)
7) Sensatec vs. Vernesca leather

The looks of the Luxury line are just too clingy, and at that price one would pick the Gran limo any day!
