Came to ₹96K over 5 years for the 330i...
Thanks for sharing the link. For X3 20d it is showing me 1.03L for 5y. Not bad considering some extra components like diesel filter etc. However, I am hoping actually it will be lower due to condition based service as my running is so low it has not even crossed 8k kms in about 21 months .

Cheers,

re: My 2020 BMW 330i Sport (G20) Review. EDIT: 2 years & 27,000 km up

Thought i give an update for a wheel balancing / tyre rotation on my 330i.

Got it done at a Pirelli Dealer in South Delhi for INR2400 for wheel alignment, INR1000 for wheel balancing. The dealer services tyre needs of mostly Audi, BMW, Merc, Porsche, other high end vehicles. He had a Hunter HawkEye Elite machine - which had alignment targets for G20 updated.

The BMW dealers charge astronomical ~12k for the same, hence decided to go with these guys.
They spent a good 1 hour adjusting the camber, toe for rear and front wheels - these had indeed become out of spec significantly.

Got my tyres rotated as well - can probably see this OEM set to last till 19-20K Kms (currently at 14K Kms). Will change to Michelin once these are done with.

Carried out wheel alignment and balancing at 12K km.

Minor adjustments needed mainly for toe. No alloy bends as per their visual inspection and tyres needed only 70 gm balancing. Overall, impressed by BMW's robust engineering.

Some random pictures follow. Apologies for the filthy state of the car.

Solid underbody protection:

Rear multi-link suspension:

Definitely switching to these once the RFTs give up!

Also, did a tankfull of XP95 for 6800 bucks! Thinking of using auto start/stop in city now

Where in Bangalore did you get the WA done pls?

And how long before the RFT wears out? 25-30K km? Or earlier?

Went to Madhus Lalbagh. Excellent service although I did land up at the peak lunch hour. Total cost came to 2.3K including 100 bucks for the sticker weights.

Tread wear is unusually high, and at 12K km is about 4 - 5 mm remaining. Maybe around 8K km more till it reaches the legal minimum of 2 mm. That would gel nicely with the 2 year mark when factory warranty moves to extended warranty.

In case Michelin brings in the Pilot Sport 4 ZP (i.e., Michelin-speak for their 'Zero Pressure' RFT version) at a reasonable price, I might go for that. Otherwise, Pilot Sport 4 tubeless is a sure shot choice

I am due for my first car service and was enquiring regarding the BSI Plus plan. The prices seem to have gone up more than 20% since the time I got the car. Is everyone else getting these same rates? I don't think there are any discounts offered for them.

Astrodex, from my June 2020 rate charts, I think you are comparing the 'Early Sale' (BMW-speak for concessional rate valid < 30 days after invoicing) with the recently increased 'Late Sale' rates.

The ES rate is ~15% lower than the LS one. Add the recent ~6% hike last month, and the total increase is indeed ~20%.

re: My 2020 BMW 330i Sport (G20) Review. EDIT: 2 years & 27,000 km up

Hi there - apologies for posting this here. Don't have PM privilege as of yet and so thought of asking here.

Is there a solve for the lack of "wireless charging" option that we don't get with the G20 (even as this price point!!). I fell wireless carplay really is of limited use, if one cannot charge the phone wirelessly as well. The iphones run out of juice pretty quick. Plugging the cables really defeats the whole "wireless" experience. Really cheap of BMW to not offer wireless charging even for their "Luxury Line 3 series" and only offering it with the M-sport version.

Have been trying to figure what and where to source from. The best option i've come across are from Sighill. The Dock M4G model seems compatible with 3 series G20. Though don't have much to read about them and not sure how to source as well. Stocked out @ Amazon US.

Just thought of checking if you've solved for this for your vehicle; or any one else who visits this thread.

Thanks.

Thanks.
You can try something like this.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124244309965

If you really want to, you can also install the OEM wireless charger, it comes with the original wiring and all. But it needs to be coded in after the install to get it working.

You can check the part number compatible with the you car on RealOEM

US pal got a set of basic paddle shifter extenders. Alternatives were neon blue & red. Chose this silver which matches with the 'satinated aluminium' finish in my Sport.

Also, touched 13K km . Please excuse the second (blurry) picture.

I was talking to my SA regarding changing to tubeless after the RFTs wear out, but he said that it could affect warranty claims. Apparently they now take photos of the car and send them in case of suspension claims.

Astrodex, anecdotally I believe that BOM & NCR dealers are traditionally more chilled about so called 'non-standard' modifications or accessories. BLR dealers have always been more focused on documenting any changes. I imagine GOI will also be similar.

Specifically w.r.t. tyres, I'm sure early G20 India owners are beginning to dwell on the RFT vs tubeless debate as the cars accumulate more and more mileage.

Mileage update :

Location: Greater Yelahanka area to BLR CBD, which is ~25 km.
Time: weekday peak between ~0830 & 0945.
Mode: Comfort; pesky Auto-Start-Stop switched off. Minimal overtaking, mostly going with the flow.
Fuel: IOC XP95, currently ~₹105/lt in BLR
AC: 100% on set at 22C
Stats:
1. SH + 'expressway' with heavy moving traffic + 4 congested but signalled intersections:

2. Bottlenecks galore; mileage starts dropping; time vs distance increases drastically:

3. At CBD destination after bumper-to-bumper traffic for the last 4 km:

The charm of a notchback Octavia. Bought a garden set off a relocating expat, and casually got them back with the help of my ancient TESCO elasticated tie-downs.

In the 330i, the boot would have accomodated only 1 cushion at a time, leave aside the chairs
