1. In discussion with Mohsin ( Ultimate Detailers ) for Ceramic treatment or Ceramic +PPF ( hood and piano black exterior bits) . My plan is to take the car the very next day for the treatment .

2. Need to get the 3D mats , talked to HOT tracks on the same, they are quoting 11.5k for the 3.

3. Planning to order 70mai A800 dash cam , may be i will do this after the car delivery.

4. What are the standard accessories by default car delivered with ? They have offered me 10K bonus to buy accessories , not sure what i will get with that offer

5. Ordered new set of Jopasu duster and few micro fiber cloths for the new car (any suggestions on minimum car car equipment i should have helpful big time )

Thanks

Great news! Looking forward to an ownership thread from your side too. Forgot to check - are you going for the Sport or the M Sport?

PDI - Download the PDI checklist from TBHP. I did not carry out any such check as I bought mine during Unlock 1.0. I don't think you need to worry on this front though. But do check the VIN for the manufacturing date and spec sheet. If this is the Sport version, check if the iDrive is version 6 or 7.

Detailing - I haven't done either but Mohsin is very good in his work. Ceramic + selective PPF sounds good. Check out Esperto too - have heard good stuff about them

3D mats: Google for Akshay at Car Shringar - his rate is usually lower. Tell him you were referred by a 330i owner who bought from him earlier :-)

Dashcam - sounds good, I am also thinking of doing the same

Standard accessories - I got a set of velour mats only. You can always buy later of course. 10K will buy only the leather key case I fear .
Here is the list that I had received in June 2020:

M Kidney grille black ₹: 20,000
M floor mats ₹ 32,000
Front splitter pro in carbon ₹ 1,03,000
Carbon fibre mirror caps ₹ 73,000
Rear bumper trim in black ₹ 55,700
Side skirt attachment ₹ 68,000
Rear diffuser black high gloss ₹ 38,997
Rear diffuser carbon fibre ₹ 1,25,400
Side skirt transfers frozen black ₹ 16,302
Rear spoiler black Matt ₹ 33,400
Rear spoiler carbon fibre ₹ 66,800
Door Projector ₹ 15,000
Advance cam eye ₹ 52,000
Luggage compartment mat ₹ 16,000
Floor mat ₹ 12,000

Jopasu - should do very well once the ceramic treatment is done.

Hey, complete hit or miss. I was probably lucky to find a seller who shipped via Taiwan and the pedal covers reached me in 21 days flat.

Just to clarify, are you looking to wrap your ORVMs or replace the cover entirely? If wrap is the answer, then you could try the best wrappers in town and ask for the high quality 3M or Avery Dennison ones. Consider PPF or wrap on the piano black B pillars too. Mine are already a mess.
I also had ordered them based on your link and that is the only thing that got shipped Just put them in today and they look nice!

I was looking at those ORVAM covers that stick on the mirror. I did not think about wraps. I am taking the car in on Monday for ceramic coating. Will check if they have it there. Wrap options are pretty limited in my neck of the wood.

Do you have the essentials in your list? Mine included a pretty decent cleaning kit complete with shampoo, polish, tyre shine, rim cleaner, polishing clothes etc. Also included was the mobility kit which is a tyre puncture repair and inflator. If you don't have the essentials, you could go for the mobility kit. I keep that in the car when I remove the spare tyre.

I never paid attention to the gear selector as much just that I used to be in awe whenever I see luxury car gear selectors to have some fancy type of gear selectors. BMW's is still pretty conservative unlike brands like Audi, Porsche, Jaguar etc where it looks more premium and distinct in styling

Thankfully my X3 came with the 2nd Generation gear selector that you listed in the pictures below as I think that's the most stylish among the current lot

Surprisingly, even the M340i both here in the US and India have the same gear selector and I agree with you that they look a bit too conservative

My baby is finally back after ceramic coating. Took 3 days to get it applied, I'm hoping this is going to make it easier to keep it clean. I'd already got some turmeric stains on the first day of the car that has been removed, keeping my fingers crossed against scratches.

Hi Itwasntme, Car looks great. Ultimate Detailerz is perhaps the best Detailer in Balangore. Did you get the job done by Mohsin or is this Jakkur center a franchise?
Could you please share the costing and plan details you opted for and if there is any annual or bi-annual maintenance / top up coat they apply?

Itwasntme,
Finally took the delivery Yesterday. Delivery episode went really well with family & couple of friends .
Today visited couple of temples to perform customary pooja . One of your earlier question on idrive , It is idrive6 only.
We are quite excited and the car looks good in this shade , it throws different shades under varying light conditions .
Few snaps took on the delivery and today for the log here .

re: My 2020 BMW 330i Sport (G20) Review. EDIT: 2 years & 27,000 km up

Congratulations to all the proud owners. I wasn't aware of the availability of Sunset Orange in G20, it looks awesome!

I was planning to get a black 330i sport but no 330i sport models are available with Navneet motors it seems, so have to wait for a couple of months

I drive a X3 20d (a perfect family car I would say), and came to a conclusion that my wife needs a G20 330i (you know how exchange works ).

Coming to the reliability aspect, did a long road trip in Dec 20 to Rajasthan. Total trip distance covered is 7000 kms over 23 days. No niggles, no hickups, it was a dream trip. Driving in the outskirts of Jaisalmer was a dream come true. These machines are built to outlast roads...

Those turmeric stains are lethal. I kept a hawk eye on our priest even after threatening him earlier. Wife was aghast

Looks yummy in white, and ripe for some gloss black / dechroming if you into that sort of looks. Reach out to www.dealkarde.com - they have some new G20 accessories which is not yet updated on their site.

I did mine from their Jakkur franchise whose owners I know quite well. They are good but may not be as OCD as Mohsin is. I am happy though. I went for basic 5 step PP treatment + selective PPF (Superguard) on door handle cutouts, ORVMs and B pillars. Total came to ~16K + GST. This was a one-off and not a plan.

Thanks! Did Navnit say why the delay? Is it normal or due to the global chip shortages? Black 3 also looks nice BUT tends to hide the cuts and creases too much in my humble opinion. I also was insistent on a black interior so was overruled on the exterior being black too.

Got a fright yesterday when I snagged the "i" in the "330i" on my Jopasu Duster and nearly pulled it off.

Jury's out on what to do with it:
1. Fix it back!
2. Don't fix it back and clean off the glue. Let it stay as "330"
3. Take the opportunity to debadge it fully, i.e. leave only the BMW roundel logo and no lettering at all.

Any thoughts? Some random pictures follow.

Cool pics

Have you ordered stuff from them (www.dealkarde.com). If yes, what's your feedback on the pricing / quality of products?

A quick query - the BLACK housing that surrounds the fog lamps is CHROME on my car (320D Lux). Any tips of how best to dechrome / get it to black? Planning to it done at the front and the back as well. Had already swapped the chrome grill to black during delivery itself. The black grill with these chrome parts on a white car looks a little out of place

Thanks again for all your help with my queries.

Thanks! No personal experience with them, no. But BHPian iliketurtles bought his F30 bodykit from them and was satisfied: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-...ml#post4847197 (Crossing the thin redline into madness. Meet Red, my old new BMW 328i)

The chrome housing does look a bit blingy, yes. Abroad, it is easy to buy the dark ones and swap them out; in India why not get them wrapped carefully? A really skilled installer should be able to cover them, and since they are lower down, it won't catch everyone's eye even if the work is not factory-finish.

What exactly is this treatment? Is it like an advanced wax treatment? And, how long will it last?

Reason for asking is as you know I owned several brand new cars but, never got so paranoid with any other cars. Primary reason is I never enjoyed any other car (per mile behind steering while) as this one

I was getting it washed once every 2 weeks and starting seeing some slight marks on the rear doors (this is where those brushes swipe during the car wash)

Is there any good product that you have used and recommend that can be used to spray and wipe any minor marks on body?

Guys,

Can I request all the new owners/and the ones who are in the middle of deals (preferably done deals) @phani, @astrodwx @worldcrawler share the details of their final deal? It’ll be hugely beneficial.

Delhi-NCR has severe shortage of 330i Sport variant, and no deals going around at the moment. You guys are the only source of market survey for the tbhp community right now.

Also, does it make sense to buy from another city incame I get an awesome deal? Not so long ago buying Bimmer pan India at the deal-time (typically year end) used to be common. Is that still the case?
