Thank you for the feedback. Agree to what you have said about road conditions in our state. Fortunately, the views of our state compensate.

Thank you for the feedback! You have been a constant support since day one! Cheers to that!

Components will come once the wallet allows.

K10 indeed is a car to begin with, something that builds up the man and motor symbiosis. Knowing the physical dimensions of your car is important. I don't feel confident enough relying on electronic sensors. Other than that, yes the K10 doesn't disappoint!

gotta say, a 3 cylinder engine, with a proper exhaust system, sounds very very good.
the wheel setup looks pretty nice as well!

Re: The Story of Zuki - Ownership Review of Maruti Alto K10

Good to see your K10 review. I own a 2013 K10 too - used primarily by my wife. This car is a true Go Kart . I like the powerful engine it has and its small foot print which allows me to take it to the crowded areas and park anywhere capability. The negatives of this car are the rattles it makes. And at this point in time , i was contemplating a change. However, i am in two minds now . 1 says to sell and buy a new car 2 To restore whatever this car lacks(bit of suspension, clutch, seat covers etc) and keep it for another 5 years. Only if some one could help me to identify and fix the rattle points.

Attaching a pic of my car - taken Dec 2019 after a paint job done at the MASS
It has its fair share of scratches again after this one.

Re: The Story of Zuki - Ownership Review of Maruti Alto K10

The alto K10 has always been an interesting car, and I too have a sort of soft spot for it.
Keep at it.

If you're serious about modding up the K10 and are looking for some inspiration, look up a couple of alto k10s which have been modded down south in sri lanka.
Some really COOOOL lankan K10s...

Altzilla on Instagram is one.

A gripping and absorbing write-up, Phukan_Tridiv! Your emotions come through clear and strong. I recall our first car (an Omni) and how much we became attached to it. You did a great thing buying a used Alto. The learning experience of being a car owner - with all its highs and lows - are very well brought out in your narrative.

I wish you - and Zuki - many more happy years together.

Re: The Story of Zuki - Ownership Review of Maruti Alto K10

Beautiful write-up Phukan_Tridiv!

The k10 is truly the zen of it's era. It was the first car me and my brother (teenagers at the time) were super excited about when our dad replaced his aging 2004 Alto. The Pocket Rocket was crazy fast, especially in my dad's hands. Sitting in the passenger seat of the K10 on the highway runs to relatives is still one of my fondest memories of cars, as well as working with Dad on a fine Sunday to change the speakers! I'm sure this car made a lot of middle class kids fall in love with cars, atleast it did that to me and my little brother.

Good luck and I wish many many happy miles to you!

Fantastic write-up, Phukan_Tridiv. Your love for motoring really shone through in the way you've written.

I personally would've never even dreamt of modding an Alto but seeing what you've done with Zuki has really opened my eyes.

Wishing you the best with your lovely ride.

Re: The Story of Zuki - Ownership Review of Alto K10

How you took such a simple engine and modified it to your taste is impressive. The post reminded me of my own Alto which is again a rock solid car that can take any amount of abuse. Newer cars with the digital components and all the technology is definitely convenient but the thrill of a simpler, smaller and a trust worthy car is entirely different.

Superb report Tridiv. Loved how you transformed a humble Alto to a pocket rocket.
I will love to get a test drive whenever we meet.
