Hello,
I’m currently considering the GLA220d, read multiple reviews and tests online. Overall, I feel the vehicle is an excellent package in terms of utility, comfort and performance. I would love to get feedback from present owners regarding the vehicle on a day-day basis. @clementj - Sir, It would be great to hear your ownership experience till now. I’m planning to do a test drive of the vehicle soon.

Hi everyone, I have booked a GLA35 .

I have been given a VIN .Is there way to decode a CKD VIN ? Tried many Mercedes VIN decorders online , nothing is giving the info of manufacturing date.
Any suggestions , little urgent . Tried on the other VIN thread too , sorry if it’s repetitive.

Yep, I think it was. Scroll down a bit, you'll see line item 052 state year of manufacture as 21/2 (which I guess is Feb 21). Think that's the one.

Thanks found that … but that shouldn’t be the case , the dealer is saying it’s April/May 22 in his system . Have asked for FORM 22 now for clarity , he has assured me it would be April / May 22. Also Mercedes booking acknowledgment also mentions make year will be 22 . I guess with the CKD cars it’s difficult to track till car comes out from factory .

I too am having some difficulty procuring the vin details of S450 which i have booked. The vin is W1K2231616L002116

However since it is a skd the vin details are not accessible even on the vin.mb site? Any thoughts?

Thank you. No site was accurately working for me too. I realised that my car was not assembled till sept 22. This was the date mentioned in Form 21. I took delivery also in September. Till today no website is showing my VIN. Also my dealer told me his system showed a date of April 22 , but he checked from the factory and confirmed that the car would be assembled only in September 22. The date on his system was probably the CKD kit received date.
I think you can check with your dealer , they can find out the date which will be reflected on Form 21.

Till today I can’t find a website which is giving the details of my VIN.I remember finding out that my car assembled in Sept 22 and I took delivery also in Sept , though the VIN was provided in August itself. The form 21 also reflects Sept 22.
My dealer had found out the details of the assembly date , they checked and told me that the vehicle would be out of factory in the last week of September.
I suggest you check with the dealer , they can tell you the date which will be reflected on Form 21.

I am planning to buy the GLA petrol variant. How much mileage are you guys getting in the city?

Does anyone have any idea if any facelift is around the corner? Should I wait?

Also from last 2 years I have seen zero discounts on the car Is the price going to reduce in coming months?

I have the GLA35. I get about 6.5-7 ish in bad traffic , about 12-12.5 ish on the highway . Casual city driving with only signal stops I get about 8.5.

Thank you. I think it should be about same or slightly more for the GLA 200. How is the car to maintain? Do you have any complaints with it? And would you say it is justified for the price they are selling it at now? (I have a quote of 52L for Gla 200 petrol)

It’s only 4 months old , so far no issues. Only the first free inspection was done. They gave an update to reduce the 80/120 speed chime volume.

Honestly I think you should consider the GLA220d if budget permits, much better to drive than the GLA200. The 200 feels underpowered and sluggish in comparison. That’s my personal opinion though .

I have recently booked a GLA220d (non 4matic) and the expected delivery is in March23. I shall take delivery of this vehicle at Vijayawada (Mavir Motors). Appreciate any suggestions with specific reference to this particular Franchise of MBIL. TIA
