Thanks ramnaresh. I will definitely consider them. The air purifier is a standard accessory that can be purchased. Now that you mentioned it, TPMS is a good addition. Somehow I never realise that one of the wheel is low or flat until someone passing by me by tells me. So, this would be useful.

Very nicely written review. In the same boat as you, except that I got the petrol automatic given my low running and high city driving.

Longitude (O) is definitely VFM as compared to the Limited variant, though in hindsight I think the Sport variant is even better (I got the Longitude for auto AC, which unfortunately is quite weak).

I do not see any problem in accessing the EPB even though it is in the passenger side. but the passenger would have better access to it.

I have not driven the car during night while raining yet.

Yes. Sport makes better sense. It lacks a few features and the roof rails. Family was quite keen to get the roof rails plus and I on the other features. We did not want the sun roof though. Later got to know that the roof rails was a part of the standard accessories (~18k) which you can fit on the sport. But not the others (bigger ICE, digital console, dual AC, fog lamps)

Hey Turbolove, technically, It should not matter if the car is manual or automatic. The cruise control should work irrespective of the kind of transmission. But hey, I'm no engineer. I'm just an auto enthusiast who finds anything related to cars really interesting (like everyone in our teambhp family). I'm actually trying to fit cruise control to my Micra Dci. But so far no luck. Need dive deeper.

P.S. Apologies to Hypermiler for hijacking your thread. Congratulations on your new ride. I just love cars in red. Please get the alloys painted black. IMHO, the contrast of red car with black alloys is gonna look killer

Congratulations on your Compass. The car looks good in red. Your experience in Gurudev makes me wonder if it comes down to personality and not the showroom procedure. Bought my Nexon there and the SA was quite good, when I went in recently to check out the Safari they were not enthusiastic to show me the car.

Enjoyed reading your review. So many things i could relate to. Harrier smitten but gave up, 5 feet 7 inches, Diesel manual brings a smile on the highways, Honda City comparisons, city driving in gear 1 with half clutch. I am alternating 1 and Neutral to avoid half clutch. Again, i am not sure if thats the correct way of doing it.

The tool kit and reflector velcro should be stuck behind the back seat than the boot floor. This is what the SA told me. Thats where it belongs as per him. And i have it hanging there really well.

Love the cloth interiors of Longitude. Limited has the auto IRVM.
