Its a pioneer DEH 3950 MP. Will take better pics of it and of the Blaupunkts at the back (those are sweet!!).

The gearknob is leather wrapped, will put up a better day pic of that in a few hours.

Yes, first time seeing a Pio HU's with red color buttons. It usually comes with blue dazzlers . Which one is it?

No Rishi, your eyes are fine! No leather gearknob, no leather steering grip, and no spoiler on the stile 1.6 - the tradeoff being the tubeless tyres (which shouldn't be a big cost difference anyways) - So you are right with the "cutting cost" comment.

Poor milege image still haunts Palio. hmmmm.

Regarding your quarter tank emptied for first 100 kms, actually the behaviour of Palio fuel gauge is like that. First half tank it shows like drained quickly. After its stays there for a loooonnnng time.

Yesterday I had long dirve (500 km) in mix of city(60km), highway (200km) and statehighway(240 km) with full AC and three adults on board. Palio gave flat 15kmpl mileage.

I was reading the Autocar small car shootout. They said that Palio has the biggest boot among small cars. Or is it that Palio 1.1 is different from 1.6?

My Getz can pack more baggage than the Palio. Can I say the Getz boot is bigger and Autocar featured crap? Yes! they did.

But in small car shoot out in ACI getz never featured.. it has biggest when compared to Palio 1.1/Chevy Spark/Santro Xing/Indica Xeta/Wagaon R/Zen Stilo.

Uttam...Do me a favour and check whether there is a tow pin in the front and rear behind the small lid in the bumpers. My 2006 Palio has the lids but no tow pins...Upon asking the dealer they were also shocked to see that and then checked for all the 2006 models and none of them had a towpin.. FIAT India at its best at cost cutting

Autocar didnt have the Getz in the shoot out. I guess the cars featured were the Palio 1.1, Xeta, Santro, Wagon R, Spark and the Zen Estilo.
