Congratulations! The station wagon is a dying breed when compared to the other types of cars on sale today. It's nice to see a BMW station wagon being reviewed on team-bhp.

Safety hammers are provided:
Also, the safety hammer is a nice touch by BMW as this is the first time I'm seeing it.

Congratulations on achieving your dream and drive safe !

Congratulations on your new bimmer, I share a fond interest in estates too!
The very limited Baleno Altura, Skoda Octavia Combi and even the Tata Indigo Marina have a very special place in my heart. The BMW touring range is something i'll never have enough of. Cheers!

Congratulations on your BMW. Great detailed review. Well written.
Station wagons are one of the best designs and every bit of your car screams style, utility and brand.
That humongous boot space. Wow!
I am a fan of the “tail gate” feature. It very useful in tight parking spaces. My Tucson had one where in only the glass section would open. Can throw in lighter stuff on the parcel tray, without having to open the boot lid.
I am little surprised why they don’t give the feature on cross overs and SUVs in India.

By the way, consider a remap someday. If I understand correctly, the engine is the same B48 as the 530i.
Thank you @Itwasnme. I will consider remap someday, but not till my warranty is valid

Thank you @G20Rider. I didn't know about the key hack. Will look into this. Also, was unable to send you a private message. There are quite a few TBHPians in Netherlands.

Thank you @Philomath. I agree with you about the stationwagons. The safety hammers were present in my Golf too.

Thank you @Jono213. Yup, but the userbase of stationwagons is very low in India.
