I had some sensor issued in the first few months of ownership but flawless after that except Adrenox which I now don't use at all, Android Auto does all I need

Hello Sumer,
Same here. Any small touch on minor elements on your way, leaves a scar deeply. And the paint peels at ease too especially on the door edges.

Btw. could you elaborate on the Sensor issue that you have faced?

The check engine light came on intermittently and very frequently one fine day and there was associated loss of power. When the light was not on, it ran like it always used to. Gave it to the Service centre and it turned out to be a faulty brake switch. Post replacement, I haven't had issues.

Thought it was just with Safari 2021. Xuv also has the same issues then. Still have ford figo 2012. Paint quality is top notch. All it needs is a occasional waxing. Doesn't scratch that easy unlike my new Tata Safari.

It seems a minor issue due to the faulty brake switch. But the Check Engine Lamp glow directly blows our hearts-whenever we see it. I am just wondering why OEMs are not using their remote control apps that can show the diagnostic to the users to their apps. It will be easy for the owners to understand what the issue is.

Please join my boat. I am guessing this is due to the higher body stance than our hatches (EON in my case and Figo in yours). There is no other way other than just having to accept & live with it.

Stellar fuel efficiency numbers from a 200 ps turbo charged petrol motor.

As an owner of a silver XUV 700 D, Paint quality has left a lot to be desired. Looks deep and nice, but seems to be too soft/lacking clear coat protection. My car is fully stock, no coatings, no PPF. This may have been a mistake.

Every long distance journey has resulted in multiple spots of stone chip damage to the bumper, hood, grille and even the roof rails.
And the damage is all the way to the black metal not just to the surface. Now it has become a habit of mine to check the damage after every trip.

With a light coloured car , PPF doesn’t make too much sense. Even my 7 year old ford Figo (also silver) demonstrates much better resilience to stone chips. Aware that the frontal area of the XUV 700 is much bigger than that of the Figo:)

My learning: dark colours are better for XUV than the light ones; the stone chip damage is less visible. Doesn’t mean that the damage isn’t there.

I like silver for the ease of maintenance(!) and love the silver colour - black wheel/roof combination. Am a Mika/Kimi Era McLaren fan so the silver-black reminds me of that McLaren Era ; 2005 McLaren-Kimi For the win!

Unfortunately with this car, I have learnt a new car colour lesson the ‘hard’ way. love the car though!

Thinking of a full body vinyl wrap in Silver ,
Close to the OEM colour. Folks, Any thoughts on this idea ?

It's not just about the ride height, paint quality is superior in ford as well as German groups, compared to Tata & Mahindra. As you have said they have better resilience to scratches.
I am also thinking full wrap in future. There is also overcoat option. GTO has done it for his Honda city once. Check that option as well. Its lot cheaper. There is also UPPF option https://www.instagram.com/uppf.india/ (very costly, but its basically wrap using PPF material. So it doesn't scratch)

Rudra is all already & pampered enough to much more miles in the coming year.

Congrats on the 20K milestone and 2 years of ownership.clap:

Those pedal covers look good. I wanted the same design while taking delivery of the Black Panther, but they were out of stock. Had to settle with the diamond design one.

I don't know if I should say glad I am not alone here. I thought it was only me who is facing this. Now I am clear M&M should definitely improve the paint quality.

Probably yes, even Hyundai's are not bad either. Mahindra should definitely catch-up in this area. Not all can afford PPF or Ceramic Coating. I am running the car with the stock ones, no ceramic or PPF, just pressure washing once a month (on my own) and waxing once a year...

For a long time, I thought I had gotten a paint lemon. I convinced myself that it was not the case by literally inspecting many white XUV’s (as silver ones are rare). Lo and behold , found lots of similar cases.

During that time , my wife thought I had a screw loose as I would randomly go about running hands on and looking at bumper and hood of parked XUV’s.

By the way, I have exactly the same wash/cleaning routine. Life revolves around Jopasu Duster for daily dusting and Bosch pressure washer once a month!

I have taken quotes for a full body wrap and window tints and shortlisted the colour. I am only waiting for some free time from my job to pull the trigger. This thread has reignited the temptation to get the problem sorted.

If this level of damage continues after 4-5 years the car paint will have more holes than the famous Mumbai Potholes :)

Full body wrap sounds interesting. Do post us with the feedback of it and it’s longevity. I’m surprised that M&M has not found the way fix/touch up the stone chips in ASC itself

Thought of updating you all about the experience I had so far with AdrenoX in AX5. I see there are fewer discussions about AdrenoX in the forum, hence I thought it could be a good time to post this.

How do you see such a detailed Trip ID page? in my app the trip id is pretty basic info. It does not even have the eco score as it shows in your photo.

Hello!!

Mahindra has given this perk to the Manual Owners of XUV700 & Scorpio N.

ATs miss out on the counts for clutch press (as it does not have one) & brake press and also on the FE part.

If incase you own a Diesel, you can see this information in the EcoSense Dashboard in your infotainment screen.

Here are some spicy things that happened with the last ~1.5k ownership.

RUDRA marks the Second Anniversary this June 2nd coinciding our Second marriage anniversary.

Celebrating the occasion, we planned for a quick one-day trip to the cool & adventurous Nelliyampathy from Coimbatore.

Renewed the PuC certificate the same day and the FastTag timingly got into a situation of KYC renewal/updating+ unable to load money to the wallet. Thankfully it had enough balance for us to complete the trip.

It sums up 250kms up and down via Palakkad and Nenmara.

We planned to visit the famous Pothundy Dam with some adventure activities, chill at a few viewpoints, and possibly check out the famous Jeep Safari.

Here are some of the pictures and videos shot by us for your eyes:

How did we start: I have a favorite COCO BPCL Bunk on the way to Kerala where I fill the Petrol usually when I start any trip to Kerala. Now this has become a ritual as I get a good FE with the refills there.

As said earlier, Pothundy Damn has an Adventure Park inside covering the below games/activities:
1. Sky Cycling (Rs. 200)
2. Zipline (Rs. 100)
3. Freefall (100ft) (Rs. 200)
4. Rope Courses (Rs. 150)
5. ATV Rides (Rs. 500)
6. Archery (Rs. 20/5 darts).

ATV Rides were not there when we went. We tried out the rest of the possible activities within the stipulated time.

By the time we started down towards the bottom at 4.30, the fog surrounded us heavily and there was no match of words to the scenic view.

The trip returned a T2T of 14.3kmpl, while the AdrenoX said it was 13.4kmpl (for the first time AdrenoX numbers did not meet the T2T calculation for me) Thanks to not so welcoming speed limits of 90s & 100s in the Kerala Highway

It was indeed a very memorable and interesting trip for us and RUDRA :Cheering:

Divided by Profession... United by Mahindra & Mahindra

Adding more to the previous post, it is the small closed group meetup of 4 XUVs based out of Coimbatore from our TN XUV700 WhatsApp Group.

We were been planning this meetup for quite some time. We have 8 members from Coimbatore out of 100 members in the group. Last-minute declines landed the meetup of 4 enthusiasts.

The "X" Team:

Guess who joined us. Yes, it is our enthusiastic Bhpian True Sedan!!

We had an AX5 P MT, AX5 D AT, AX7L P AT, and XUV500 W8(O) D for the meetup.

The XUV500 belongs to Abinesh who owns the XUV700 as well (it was stationed at Raipur) and he was eager enough to take part as he was in Coimbatore at the time of the meetup.

Thanks to Facebook, we expanded the Coimbatore count to 13 now and planning to add more enthusiasts to the group so that we can plan for a wider meetup soon.

It was an incredibly fun and exciting experience to meet with fellow enthusiasts who shares the same passion.

I really wish the Mahindra Adventure Team gets a chance to see this post and they should organize an event for We Coimbatorians. Coimbatore now is filled with XUV700s of all variants. And we have exciting places around to chill around. If not a two/three-day trip with a stay, at least a one-day trip could be organized by Mahindra.

I was awaiting such an initiative by Mahindra & Mahindra and later decided to take it upon ourselves. And yes, this is definitely fun guaranteed
