Congratulations on your purchase.
I am also now a proud owner of Kodiaq TSI L & K since yesterday, same color. I am in love of the car since the test drive. Yesterday went for a short drive while filling the petrol tank. It was bliss to drive. Coming from Honda City, it feels many levels up. Filled close to 62 liters XP95 and the tank probably had about 4-5 liters from before the tank fill. I believe the tank capacity with reserve is close to 67 liters (instead of quoted 60 liters). This was mentioned by the SA to me during my discussion.
Yes, the FE is low. But if I am going to get 500-600 KM range after tank full, I am happy. I am sure the highway range will be higher to 700 KM. My Honda City was giving me anywhere between 300-400 KM only in the city and about 500-550 KM on highway.

Thank you and Congrats to you too!
I was able to complete almost 90% of the Trivandrum Bangalore drive on a single tank. This was without any planning and pretty natural driving with good amount of idling during short breaks etc. So 700 km is very much achievable on good highway runs.
(So sorry for the delayed response, I somehow thought I already replied to you :))
Just when I took to pen down the experience so far, realized that four months flew by, since I got hands on the White Bear!
It has been wonderful experience so far with a good mix of daily office drives, quite a few short highway drives and couple of long inter state drives.
The Kodiaq excelled in almost every single version of it! The bulk of the vehicle never shows up even on city roads. We realize it only when trying to park in smaller parking gaps.
Am really glad to have taken in and took this beauty home.
Now, having seen the benefits of top quality detailing with the Civic, took it to my favorite detailer in Trivandrum, the BriteMakers.
As usual, Amin and team did an absolutely wonderful job in giving the Kodiaq, its much needed Graphene coating protection.
(Absolutely no business interest, but having seen the professionalism and his passion in this detailing work, I would wholeheartedly recommend Britemakers)
I will stop bothering too much with words, and leave few of the pictures :loveit
After Graphene Protection application:

Congrats on your Kodiaq - as someone who has gone through your exact journey ( I still am in love with my immaculately maintained 2009 Civic VMT) and got my blue bear 20 months back, I can echo your sentiments about the Civic and the Kodiaq including superior windshield wiper performance in the Civic.
One issue I faced with the civic with its tandem opposing wipers is that the conventional dashcam spot below the IRVM is in the exclusion zone by the wipers and the dash can end up focusing on the water droplets than ahead during rains.
Since I alternate use between my Civic and the Kodiaq, have done only 12.5K km in the Kodiaq so far and had a blissful experience so far, with no niggles to say ( except for a puddle lamp that came loose with a broken clip, that has been replaced under warranty). Best mileage I’ve been able to extract is 16.4KMPL on a 160KM drive ( Bangalore Mysore ), while average city mileage is 7-8kmpl and average highway mileage is 13-14.
@Sarathlal, my son still gives me grief over selecting Lava Blue over White - he says the White looks bigger and more Audi like

Thats a spot on observation from him. White color of the Kodiaq does accentuates its size and elegance.
BUT, that Lava blue color dazzles unlike anything else. Infact it was an amazing Lava Blue beauty that took my first attention to this machine and made me fall for it.
Re-quoting that part :)

And on that same day, a Lava Blue Kodiaq came in and parked right in front of our office. ....
Mid day, with sun at its peak, oh man, what a sight it was! Glowing up in all its glory lies a huge beautiful beast! Love at first sight ha? :loveit |

The car really looks good with graphene protection, even my Skoda dealership here is pushing me to go for it. Would you mind letting me know how much did they charge you for the Graphene coating?
Also any idea on how different it is from the Ceramic coating? Local 3M dealer is quoting 60K for Ceramic which includes 5 top ups; he has also agreed to do an interior cleaning (foam) with washing every time I opt for the top-up. Looking forward to your suggestion. BTW, even mine is a Moon White

Awesome, congrats! :)
The rates differ from applicator to applicator. Best would be to scout around based on reviews the best ones available in your locality. Around our area in Trivandrum ,it's around 32k for graphene.
Proud owner of Kodiaq L&K. May be one of the last batch I picked up in Bangalore with good discounts that was in offer.
Thanks to bhp forum and expert advice made me go ahead with Kodiaq, as I was also inclined towards Fortuner and hycross.
Love the car and my family is super proud.
Request suggestion on the below:
- Car seat ventilation: not effective in my PDI and also first 500-600kms drive. Read couple of comments in this forum. Is this normal and not to worry. Any suggestions
- Tried searching for Matt including one for boot. No been successful in finding 3D Kagu or other brands recommended in this forum. Any suggestion from Kodiaq owners
Thanks

Hey, Congrats on the awesome purchase! Its a beautiful machine that have multiple personalities. It will cocoon you in comfort for that sedate Comfy ride, and at the same time, tap a tad harder on the accelerator, just springs into beast mode. Wish you many a happy miles ahead.
Regarding seat ventilation, I have been having a pleasant experience so far. It does cool up pretty good and is really handy on sunny day runs.
Given the large glass area, I would suggest you to have heat shield applied on the glasses, either Garware or 3M. It will effectively block heat from entering and will help in the overall cabin cooling. If you are not comfortable with applying glazing, atleast have it applied on the panoramic roof
