BTW, I didn't know we get the 'Select' model in manchester red color!
I have no complaints with AC. Not just its effective, but its also very silent.
But I would wait till I test it completly in October heat here in Mumbai.

About Select varient in Manchester Red, this color is not available as an option for both Select & Spirit.
But you can get any available colour on any varient but the delivery can take something like 3 odd weeks.

But colour like Beige is out of production, so you can't get that as an option.
Well, this was told to me by the dealer here in Mumbai.

Absolutely Right, Vishaal and Maibaa - Select does not come in Manchester Red as a standard colour. In my case, I am waiting for an additional 10 days so that the custom paint can be done.

They put the Select through the Sports paintshop assemply line and get it custom painted.

I am kind of pepped by the good reports on the A/C Functioning here and hope the one I drove had something wrong going.

And yeah - I sold my tiger - the Opel Corsa I was having yesterday -It was sad to see him rolling out with some else onthe driving seat..

But also very excited abou the new arrival in the family!

finneyp - sorry this is a little delayed..but here's what I thought od Palio Stile Sport:

1. The engine noise was too much in the cabin
2. Plastics seemed cheap
3. Seating not comfortable - felt like I am sitting too low - I am not all that tall, though..
4. Good sense of safety - thud of doors etc..
5. clings on well to road
6. Drive is not smooth till you shift into 3rd/4th and move beyond 40kmph...
7. Very competitively priced for a 1.6 Car
8. The Tata dealers were not all that great - Had to wait at the showroom for almost an hour.

Bang on, gbpscars! I am a pastor!

A pastor to those who see the word "baptised" and think only a pastor can use it!

And a sexist to people who see the word "bang" and think of only one occasion to use the word!

And hey - Thank You very much for the congrats!

Are you a judge? (What a funny question, did you say?)

Just having fun! lets move on!

Insurance is only on the ex-showroom price of the car, and not on the On Road price. Whats the ex-showroom price of your car?

The exshowroom is 8.2 lacs.

Hmm - That means I have to up the value..

Today the dealer called me up and told me it'll be onits way from chennai day after...So I should get it by 1st or 2nd of October.

Do dealers give people a standby car till the time the car arrives for any duration from the initially promised date? as a goodwill gesture atleast?

Yeah - I know I am still in India - But do they really go that far?

I agree with reignofchaos, and I'm based in Delhi...even rear seat cooling is pretty good.

As there is no sun-film in my Cedia, things can occasionally get a little uncomfortable in the rear seat if one is sitting in direct sunlight, but wouldn't want to blame the A/C for that.
