Great, thanks OD, I thought you guys sounded pretty knowledgeable about the Dicor but wasn't sure hence the "disclaimer" of sorts!

@scary, can you scare the light out of us on the new turbo, is the VTT delivery bumpy, smooth or very light(no affect, cant feel )

It's only down on the fun factor because of less power in midrange and thus doesnt feel powerful enough especially in 4th and 5th gear.

Yup and there is no reason why it should have a long travel. Pajero, which is one of the benchmarks of 4X4s in India, doesn't.

If I had to take a pick, I'd say very smooth delivery.
Which is maybe, what much of the Indian Junta likes

PS to BHP: Multiply by 0.9863. So, 140 PS = 138 bhp

I have booked a VX 4X4 myself so am hoping to get the gearbox with no problems.

On a lighter note going by all the different TD reports mushrooming here it seems Tata has a few Sub-Variants within the LX, EX and VX range. (Due to inconsistencies on the assembly line!!!)

Looks like it's all pot luck!!!

Also just tell me that the vehicle you TD'ed was not a Silver VX.

turby
Turbanman,

I took the TD from Pandit Auto and it is a Green color VX 4X4. Did you get any discount from the dealer?

Regards
