Only tires and alloys will do for starters.

But what if the handelling is really an issue? IMO handelling is very important for FTD factor.

in my place the Getz crdi costs 6.20 OTR , costs 40000 more than Swift VDi ABS. I went today and enquired it , but disappointed that there was no TD car . They had the 1.1 only. The delivery period is 2 months.

when petrol getz is giving 12 kmpl FE, and as stated by kpzen that getz crdi is giving 14 kmpl. so the difference is just 2 kmpl, agreed crdi has more power, but the cost difference is also huge.

so if its a petrol hatchback, then it its definetely the getz 1.3 gls,

if the requirement is a diesel hatchback then , the best option would be the swift vdi.
The Swift 1.3 MJD is a nice car..but the build quality of MUL makes it a sore buy..i'm not for tinkering with the car every now and then..and rattles are especially IRRITATING..

I like the engine - period. But the GETZ D seems fun..giving scope to drifting as theres no ABS, TCS etc all electronic junk for the newbies

I haven't driven many car like u ppl but i'm yet to see another car which goes from 0-150kmph in that fashion.. relentless and insane power....

My Baleno felt so slow after driving that beast..

The good thing about the Verna/Getz Engine is the vibration and clatter disappears completely after 2000rpm as the car surges forward.Cabin noise is very well supressed, you will never see anyone complaining about NVH in cabin unless he is used to honda levels of engine noise.

The car will easily hit redline in Fifth gear(ive tried it with verna),the speedo should show around 190.

I had the Test Drive of the Getz Diesel from Chandra Hyundai Coimbatore. Here are my experience from it.
Went to the showroom the Sales officer was good in respoding . And after some talk i asked for a test drive , she arranged it in 5 min and was disappointed that she sent me just a driver to accompany me and not a trained consultant .
We totally were 5 person including the driver . I sat at the rear seat at the center position are found that the shoulder space was good for 3 persons and there was enough knee room . We switch on the a/c and my dad drove it for few distance and was surprised with the acceleration and the NVH levels. The a/c was good . I liked the interiors .The instrument panel are nice and easy to read and there are no separate temp. gauges .
Seats were good . Then my dad handedover the wheel to me and driving position was good but i found it little difficult seeing the bonnet , will get used to it after driving for few days. The car with load of 5 persons and a/c was able pull neatly as its got more power 110bhp . The drivability was good thanks to the high torque of 235Nm @1900rpm and i was able to drive in 3rd gear most of the time inside the town . The boot space was good enough for us to go for long trips .
All together , the car is spacious , better built , great engine and IMO i am happy to pay 6.16 L OTR for this car . I paid the booking amount of Rs.25000 and booked the car. .No freebies . Delivery period is maximum 2 months and within that period i will consult with our TBhpians about the ICE's and other mods .

Yeah i know Elantra redlines but never knew Verna also does it.
I'm yet to get the confidence to slot the 5th gear or even find a road for Verna.

Top speed of Getz Crdi is 171 KMPH and 0-100 comes in 11.3 sec (stock).
A peted getz should do it in 10 sec.
