I doubt whether India is matured enough for premium hatch taxis.

Boot is considered must here to be on the premium side. I do not see much Swift Diesel taxis in Bangalore eventhough it gives good mileage.

With the Indigo Diesel and the Logan Diesel offering the extra space and a boot for a similar/lower (?) price, dont really see fleet owners investing in a premium hatch. In addition, taxi's outside the metro's are quite focused on highway travel. In this scenario, the additional capacity offered by a boot may be more important to customers than the additional comfort of a premium hatch

Even a dealer I spoke to me in Mumbai mentioned that only three variants would be coming out. Whilst he mentioned the three higher variants by name, he didn't say anything about the Active. This is at odds with the four varients mentioned in the brochure, which mentions four variants including the Active. The brochure is available on this link http://www.fabiafeelspecial.com/skodafabia.pdf in case anyone wants to have a look (warning: its a 10mb pdf file)

why not pretty colors for India ?

I wonder why Skoda chose not to release the pretty colors they have in their inventory in India. Check the following images. None of these colors are available in India unfortunately. Also the well advertised tangerine orange is not available either.

Could it be that these are some different finish, like pearlescent, maybe?

Hi Speedzack
Thank you for the information. I am very much interested in the Fabia. I have a choice between the Fusion and the Fabia. I was dissappointed by the ground clearance of Fabia (146 mm) which is lesser than a Maruti 800. If you could please clarify this?

Thanks Maverick for the pics. The Petrol Price as quoted by Hyderabad Dealer starts at 6.5L to 8L with a difference of 75K in each variant. I dont know why Skoda is not ready to showcase the product they have to sell. The dealers are tight lipped even about the specs. Very Funny indeed!

If they launch all these colours now, then what colour will they launch the RS and LnK versions in?

Nice pics maverick555, i see Skoda's speedo is way optimistic having been calibrated all the way to 240

Not just the finish but the color also looks totally different than what is offered in India. Yes, they look very shiny too.
