Senior - BHPian | ![]() Thank you all so much for the wishes. We'r hoping for the best with the Lancer. ![]() Steer,I agree with you. The Galant has been a source of inspiration for the new Lancer. I guess no matter what, somewhere somehow the lines of a certain car maker shows up every single car in their stable. My wife's going to be the main user of the car. With about 70 miles on the car everyday, by the end of January we'll know exactly how the car's doing. OT: the new year's not off to a good start thanks to some of my closest relatives acting real wierd, but I doubt if I could pour it all out here. My wife & I are at a point where if anyone gives us some crap..watch out!! We'll eat you raw! ![]() Till then..we'll enjoy every bit of life with our 2 dogs & the cars in the garage.. Enjoy! |

![]() Neeraj, that the next generation Mitsubishi Evo. The white color & the huge air dams give it a slight hint of the new Audi TT. | |

Senior - BHPian | ![]() hows the sound system to use and listen? |

Senior - BHPian | ![]() I have the Sun & Sound package. The music system is little complicated to use at first, but over time you get a hang of things. There are different setting like 'hall; live;stage;normal'. And there are different setting in terms of the type of music..'rock,hip-hop,county,pop..etc'. The 10" subwoofer gives you such a kick, its tough to explain. At 80mph,open roads & the sound of Bryan Adams or Aerosmith... ![]() |

BHPian | ![]() Wanted to resurrect this thread again. I'm in the market for a newer car now, upgrading from my 2003 Lancer ES (Cedia in India). The new Lancer was one of the cars I was considering, along with the Galant, as I've always been a big fan of Mitusbishi cars. However, I was told that they really "watered down" these Lancers compared to the previous generation ones. And I test drove one at the nearest dealership, and tend to agree too. While they've vastly improved the looks, engine and the interior space, I found the ride and the interior quality quite dissatisfying, compared to my old Lancer. But then again I only test drove for like 10-15 kms, so might feel different in the long run. So what are your thoughts on this Nitin? Also Mitsubishis (or most Japanese cars in fact) are notorious for poor cabin noise insulation at highway speeds. How does this one fare? I know my engine turns at 2800 rpm at 100 kph and 3100 rpm at 120 kph, and it's noisy as hell inside. My other options would be a Dodge Charger SXT (3.5L V6), a Mustang V6, a VW Jetta or a Rabbit. Senior - BHPian | ![]() All I can say is I am yet to see a company so committed to the American market that even after years of losses they keep on churning new cars. I know the galant is getting discontinued but The lancer, eclipse and Outlander form the chunk of Mitsubishi's North American sales. |
