Sure, Shuvc!

Thanks iraghava!

The owner said, the goodyear ducaro tyres (185/70/R13) are 4K kms old.
Speaking of tyres, I have a query - i had observed that the front left tyre had worn out more than its siblings - Toiing helped me out by referring me to his trusted mechanic. The technician took a test drive and inspected the car by removing the front tyres and having a look at the suspension assembly. He told me there is a minor suspension work to be done and he would need to replace a part or two which would eradicate the following:

a) The powersteering currently feels a tad tight
b) Uneven tyre wear

Before i left his garage, he replaced the left tyre with the stepney (which is brand new it seems)

Now, yesterday while driving i noticed one more thing, if i let go off the steering, the car pulls to the right though very slowly. Is this happening due to the suspension or will it be fixed if i get the wheel alignment done?

finally, can i get it done outside A.S.S?

Thanks!
Dhiman

IMO it should get fixed once the wheel alignment is done, so get the wheel aligned and it should not pull to any side.

Congrats Dhiman! That is a very nice and well-maintained looking 1.5. Too bad about the VTEC, but a 1.5 is a damn good car. Good going
Looking forward to seeing you and your new ride at a Team BHP meet soon!

This should be easy to determine. You see, Wheel Alignment is a cheap process & does not take much time compared to even minor suspension work. So, I would suggest get the wheel alignment done from a good shop (I'm sure one of the Cal members can point you towards one) and see if the problems gets solved, if not then go in for whatever minor suspension work has to be done. I think that he probably wants to change the Tie-Rod ends on your car but before giving the car in for the work, make sure you understand what all they are going to change on the car. If you need any further help/clarification feel free to post here.

And yes, if the Mechanic is experienced & trust worthy then there is no problem getting the work done from outside the A.S.S.

Looks good.

Get the alignment checked first, any of the tyre shops near Bhawanipur area that does the job can be helpful.

The only thing I would have looked at changing is the alloy design.

congrats Dhiman...
car looks great - i guess the ring around the number plate in the rear is painted chrome like in the VTEC...

anyway the 1.5 is not a BIG compromise from the VTEC ...
its just that the VTEC is too hyped up !!!

i guess the previous owner may not have done tire rotation at all , so the front tires must be worn out...check for uneven wear also which points to the need for alignment and balancing

put the best tires in the front and then do the above...

after that if the problem still persists, get the suspension checked but do so in the auth service station only unless this mechanic is a really well known guy for HONDA..

pls post more details of the car like model year, price u got for, interior pics,

Thanks shuvd, Toiing

Narayan - yes there are chrome rubber linings running round the front, rear windshields and around the rear number plate.

Its a sept 2002 1.5 Exi with 30K on the ODO. I bought it from 3.05 laks.
I will post better pics including interior pics in the garage section shortly

Thanks
