For Bangalore city condition, 90% AC on, 195 wider tyres and my driving method, Auto cut off measuring method,,,,,, Getz CRDi gives around

14 (+/- 1) KMPL .

I had chance to drive Bellary to meet Nephew who is in a boarding school.
I have checked thrice during entire trip. Highway mileage are like this,

19.8,18.6 and 20.1 KMPL.

I was busy in office and not in India for 3 weeks, was wandering in Shanghai on a business trip so could'n login to Team BHP.

Great to see Palio Stile MultiJet launched. Can't wait put of foot on its pedal..

Cheers

Since ABS with EBD costs atleast 20K, i want to know whether EBD works on all wheels or not.

If EBD works on all four wheels then it makes sense to pay an additional 20K and wait for Getz crdi.

If hyundai is not planning to bring ABS then its better to book the car now.

Did you guys manage to get a TD in TN? as in bangalore no TD. Advaith dealer asked me to drive a Verna and feel the power of the engine.

Man its a pocket rocket. A petes box will ruin further. Add to it a mileage of 15+ KM per litre and its a deadly deal.

Advaith sales guy said - waiting period is 4 months and Trident 1 month. Looks like Advaith has many bookings.

@Anju
We are waiting for a detailed report. I hope you are listening...

Prajesh,
Method used was Auto-cutoff.
(Go to Gas station, set trip meter to Zero, fill till Autocutoff and drive around till the last line, go to gas station, fill till auto cutoff. Then some maths, trip meter kilometer divded by number of liters filled during second fill).

I have used AC for 50% of the time on Highways. I am too happy to see the mileage. Note that, I didn't drive very very fast(beyond 100). Crossed 100 only few times.

AKS Karthik : I just enquired in HMP chennai.
what they told, the engine bay has no space to adopt the ABS kit.
So defn GetZ D won't come with ABS IMO.

I think current Getz can very much accomodate ABS. It has ABS as almost standard features in all the countries except India.

The problem is , the CRDi Engine is bigger than Petrol counterpart.
So no adequate space to load the ABS mechanism.

So Fiat 1.3 and 1.1 can have ABS and 1.6 cant? And similarly Getz 1.1 and 1.3 can and 1.5 cant?

Visit TBHP regularly.

in future, when it comes with ABS as an option, keep your papers ready to sue them.

This car would have been much better with ABS , I have experienced that Verna with the same engine and heavier body and bigger tyres, still needs ABS in bumper to bumper traffic( specially when you run in short bursts) and how come with a lighter body- in this rocket- they havent given it as even an option.

Even now the Getz D is selling at very low quantity due to higher price , If they bring in ABS , it would cost more and do you think they buyers will increase ??

AFIK, ABS is not useful in bumper to bumper traffic. ABS prevents wheels from locking under hard breaking. Its very hard to imagine this in bumper to bumper traffic.

You're right! My SX4 Manual mentions that ABS will not work at low speeds
