vipul get a remap. i got the stage 1 on my laura along with a k&n air filter and trust me it outstanding. i also upgraded my tires to the michelin pp2 225/50/16. howerever i found them a little too big for the car so i downsized them today to the michelin mvx8 205/55/16 and boy oh boy......

Guys just got my Cash back last week: here are the various discounts avaliable:
1. Choice of registration location which can save you about a lakh on laura (if registered in Thane or Vashi, they will arrange this for a fee of about 5-6k)..this could be an issue during a major insurance claim (unless you get your adress updated) or the cops

2. Payout on loan - upto 5% (I got 5% from HDFC bank) ..the %age depends on the loan amount and type of car (ranges from 2%-5%)..this amount can be 50k on a loan of 10 lakh ..you can either reduce this from your downpayment or from your EMI's (so ur EMI's get lower by about 500-1,500 Per month)

3. Cash back...typically paid in cash by the dealer from his incentives (these include his margin as well as kickback from the insurance + financing guys)..can go upto 35k (which i finally managed to sqeeze out of my dealer as main sales guy is now my buddy) for the Laura

4. Push for a corporate discount (Rs.8-12k)...hell use it for getting a nice number/mods

Total discount possible: 1 lakh from Thane registration + 50k from Loan + 35k cash back + 10k corporate discount

Price of Laura in Thane : 14.4 lakh less discounts = 13.5 lakh :)

What is your FE both in Highway and City ?
I planned to buy a Laura by this month end.
What is the Max Speed you attained ?

I get 12-13kmpl in city with an average speed of 17-20kmph. I do 650-700KM per tankful (50Lit?) in city driving. I drive thru really terrible traffic. On highways I have seen 17-19kmpl depending on my driving style.

I am not sure what max speed it can do and it is very subjective what people classify as a "comfortable-max" speed because there are people who do 150+ in Santro. I have done 160 in Laura on a safe stretch and the engine begins to strain but the brakes and handling are superb. I mostly drive below 100 though.

Right now I'm bargaining for satin leather in place of clasic for +3k Rs.
Will keep you posted when i get the car.

I bargained for leather upholstery instead of cash discount.
So I would not get cash discount but complete leather upholstery.

I got all of this in Vinayaka Motors, BLR with lot of discussions with the Sales Rep.

While Tafe asked me to may 30k for leather seating.

What is the On Road Price and tyre brand?
Here in Chennai Rs.1,520,530 and 15K discount and Floor Mats and Front Mud Flaps.May be Sun Films will be given as freebie.

On Road price in Bangalore for Ambiente is 16.32L
Note that Road tax in Karnataka is 17.6% to enjoy the bad roads! (I'm really frustrated)...
Tyre brand in Dunlop. Is that different in Chennai?
