Safari 4x2 EX Pearl White

Just got it yesterday after looking at 4-5 Ex's picked One, the other had mismatched door handles rattling sounds and glove boxes not fitting properly. It was Picked up in Chandigarh and driven to delhi, over all the night visiboility was amazing the pickup and handling on the highway was Far far better than the non dicor safari that we currently own, and it sure is a head turner, every place we parked on the highway 4-5 people were staring at the "car", No rattling noises or any other issues, wa delivered with 30 KMS on the ODO, the only thing noticed was, at speeds of over 100 KMPH on the highway woth the windows closed there was a wierd wind leaking into the car kind of sound, any one experience that ?

Congrats !

but the post is confusing, is it a new Safari 2.2 or a second hand.

Some people have reported this noise on high speeds.

congrats man. so finally got that serial nos right which u inquired about?
do u mean that air is leaking inside. well safari undergoes a stringent water leakage test. i doubt whether that noise is due to air leak.

well i booked the car on 15th and got the pearl white Ex on the 20th .... that i think is a bog discount more over i got a 12.5% disc of the Ex showroom price

amit_mechengg

Naah man the ones i aksed about had issues with the gloovebox not closing and the 2 handles not matching the rest of the body but i had the handy print out to check the chasis / eng numbers

the sound is like it is leaking but it isnt and that too only on 100+ speeds more over Am sure there is no water leakage coz the car was washed in an auto carwash at the dealer with high pressure water & soap being sprayed on the car and not a single drop inside so ...

That makes it 10k lesser right?

Maybe there's a bad beading and hence the leakage.

Oh just an addition, Tata has really upped the ante on this safar with the first service at 1500 and all subsequent services at 10,000K intervals,

Did you guys know that Tata has also installed a small lil LED(white, same as the rest of the interior dispal) near the key hole and when you open the car at night iit glows brightly to shw the place where the key needs to go ,, a small thing but a nice lil touch

Yeah I did read about that KEYHOLE illumination bit on their site. All being said, it is an amazing "car" and there are no second thoughts about it.

Hope to see it soon in flesh...any thought about changing the wheels? I know your Non DICOR had big flashy boots!

Ist of all,

Congrats for beast and very gud choice of color.

At least in 3,4 Safaris i have seen this wind noise at speeds greater than 100 kmph including in my safari.

so i believe its a common issue.and if you get a chance to get it rectified then let me know also.

Drive safe and enjoy the ride.
