Thanks Eddy for the quick TD.

The rear looks good except for the elongated chrome job. But Maruti should have changed the front (headlight and also grille). Hmm, Cost Cutting to the maximum I think.

IMO Dzire is better looking car than SX4 . So you can comprehend the looks of SX4 .

Nice scoop!!! However, IMHO the boot doesnt gel well with the rest of the hatch, looks completely out of whack!

Kudos to Maruti for spoiling the wonderful looking hatch.

Great job Eddy man!
IMO, this is the worst you can do to kill a brand - Swift hatchback created a distinct identity of its own and in too less a time, if am not wrong. This is a sureshot way to kill whatever the brand had for it...

What is it with both TATA & Maruti? Why are they trying to put a boot to a hatch [indica & swift] and trying to make it a sedan. I mean 10 out of 10 people can make out that the boot is like an afterthought in both these models.

Nothing wrong in sharing the same platform, but for gods sake, don't make a hatch into a sedan by putting a boot with no thoughts to aesthetics whatsoever..

Is this phenomenon specific to Indian market only or do we see this trend of adding a boot as an afterthought in other developed markets also?

I'd like to have a different opinion on this one. The car, though looks great from behind, it looks as ugly from the front. It looks to me like an overgrown man.

Hi Khan,

It is a worldwide trend to convert a successful hatchback to a sedan. Which is what maruti has done. Plus, i don't think they have just added a boot. A lot more has been offered in this car. And from a design perspective the boot gels quite well with the rest of the design.

Congrats Eddy !!

I dont like the looks though. As you said, it's a very personal choice, but I absolutely hate it.

Nice job Eddy.

The rear as Steer said looks liek it was copied from the BMW.

Hope they price it right and do something about delivery time.

Nice back until I saw the front too and I go ..yuck. BTW where do they get such awful designs from? Looks like the in-house marketing team does it for free in their spare time
