Yaa. This is my priority, getting my Palio ICEd . In fact part of the stuff is already with me. Here is the partial list.

HU: JVC KDAVX11
Front Comp: GT5 500C
Sub: GT5-12".
Rear Speaker: Yet to decide - Probably JBL
Amp: Blaupunkt GTA-280 (Will get it this weekend).

I like DIY so most of the installation would be done by me. I have started of with re-enforcing the parcel tray with MDF. This weekend most probably need to make the MDF "rings". Will start a new post under the ICE section once I get everything.

Cheers,
Venki.

i am damn sure if a FIAT engine is run-in properly it will return very good mileage consistently once it crosses 5K on odo...

Swift DDis is heavier by 10kgs to Palio MJT...

FIAT , always....
Hey I guess Fiat has tuned the MJD to be more fuel efficient thats why its slower compare to the engine under Swift.
I hope MJD can be tuned for performance similarly like swift.

Haven't test driven the Fiat MJD, neither have I heard a first hand report from owners on the fuel efficiency part but personally, I don't think the Fiat MJD's going to be more fuel efficient than the Swift DDiS. I wouldn't mind being proven wrong though ... 'had' high hopes on this car

Even i feel the mileage is going to be more or less same.I think fiat has tweaked the ecu for better mileage.Slight variations doesnt matter much. But i believe if we give a proper run in fiat engine will be a different story in the long run.

hey I have become a proud Bhpian from a newbie....thank you team bhp

Good initial impression of the car venky.Have you checked the mileage.Always do it tank full to tank full.I think it will be more than 20 in any case.As JK said tire up grade is a must and let it happen soon.I think it is a metalic red color and more orangish shade similar to sunlight copper in swift.Take good care and let us have a driving impression on a long drive.

Hi Venki,
Were you able to pry out any extras from the dealer? I booked one but he is not offering anything except mats and mudflaps.

Hey, just ran across your car when taking a stroll in -4. Sweet machine - No wonder it looked familiar.

Say, what are the comps in front? Couldn't identify the tweeters at all.

tweeters are hidden inside the plastic cover of rear view mirror, i mean where the knob is there to adjust the outside rear view mirror

Guys what would be the right alloys for the Palio MJD? Is there any significant advantage or disadvantage of up-sizing? If it is good, then what would be the right up-size?

The Palio MJD is a great car to drive, had the pleasure of driving it to shirdi and back, excellent pickup, great stability, and feels sturdy, takes in the potholes quite well. The only drawback being the long throw in gears which becomes quite an excercise during quick shifts up and down. Also the engine noise if you stand outside the car is way too high when compared to the likes of swift DDis. But on the inside you would hardly hear anything. Again that shows great built quality by FIAT
