great buy. and a wonderful color.

but sorry that you had to lose out on the safari.

but i would say, now you have the best of both worlds! :-)

I have completed 972 kilometers today and have gone in for my first service.

Complaints
1. Gears are a little rough especially from 3rd to 4th gear
2. Missing spring on the fuel lid
3. Request for oil change

Actions
1. Since the machine is still new, the machanic advised to drive it for another 500 - 1000kms and bring it back if it is still rough.

2. Fixed it

3. Oil changed and i am charged 710 for 03.80 liters of oil & 280 as oil change charges

Other than the above the car got a good wash and air filter cleaned

I am not sure if i should go for oil filter change. Would appreciate any comments.

I noticed that while shifting from first to second but from there on every shift upwards goes smoothly .
When you are downshifting again shifting to second is a bit rough but apart from that its okay.

Even I did noticed little roughness in gear shift from 2nd to 3rd on a test drive car I. A new car with meter removed. But I read it this forum that gear gets smoother as time goes. I will see how it is going to be in my new one.

No car manafacturer would recommend changing the oil filter at 1K km service. It will be either at 5K or 10K when you need to replace it.

Right now i am only planning for a stock air filter replacement with K&N or Green filters.

Surprising, why would you pay labour charges within the free service window? Did you do this out of cycle?

, its weird they charged you for changing the oil. First 3 services should be free labour

First service does not include an oil change. Its just a checkup.
