- Bush kits and pads of front and rear suspension and coil springs
- tie rod ends

3.gearbox - bush, clutch release bearing

4. power steering - input oil seal, roller shaft kit,

5. starter - bendex, bush, brush carrier

6. Filters - Air / oil filters replaced

7. Oils- engine,gear box,brake,power steering, rear axle, coolant

Congatulations for the buy pal. We are also ex Sierra owners. We had a 94 NA model bought in 98. Used it till lat year and then sold it off after 1 lakh kms on the odo. Though it started having problems towards the end, that car had some character. The rear seat comfort and space is not matched by many a car today. Not to mention the fish tak size rear window. Bulling the rickshaws on the road used to be real fun.

I still wish Tata revive the Sierra again with a good powerplant and quality interiors. I have no doubt it will sell again.

Loved the Sierra. It was my dream ride back in the days. The Ford Bronco 2 ish looks, the don't mess with me stance.. Couldn't afford it then. But, my friend had one and I have lots of fond memories.
With the rear seats folded, it was a dream make out vehicle. In fact, my friend used to lend out his car for five bottles of Kingfisher. Girls used to love the Sierra and we were like Roak stars! Once, we took eight girls to their school fest in the Sierra. And no, we didn't get lucky that day.. LOL!

P.S. The car can stand on three wheels!

2 years back, I test drove a 94 model non-turbo sierra (silver colour with biege leather interiors) with alloys, tubeless big tyres and 12 CD changer in Alleppey. The car had clocked 10K after engine work and the rev limiter was set. The a/c was not working. Asking price was 1.3L. Had bullbar and extra lights.
What cheesed me off was the pathetic pick-up and the vague handling.

I had a sierra turbo 1998 model when introduced and sold it in 2004.It was a great car.I miss my sierra.

as india's first real SUV type vehicle, the sierra was a bit of a cult vehicle back in the mid 90's when most of us could only afford a used Maruti 800 or a used narrow track gypsy MG410- even back then I used to wish and hope that one day I could own this Turbo Sierra 4x4 . I would have loved to, had I been able to afford it!
I understand from various brokers etc though, that the turbo sierra's are available as low as Rs 80K these days since there is a very limited market for these vehicles.
However, if you are happy with the condition of your vehicle, and the price you paid, no arguments at all.

AFAIK, the Sierra always was 2WD, no 4x4 version was available.

Now, to do some day-dreaming.........

Sierra with better build quality + 4x4 + 2.2VTT engine + LSD axles = awesome off-roader

not quite sure about the only 2wd part. if i remember right, they did come out with 4x4 too with the turbo version in the late-ish 90's. around 97 or so.

the day dream is lovely though....

they did come out with 4wd in the turbo version on special request

it used the same electrically operated shift on the fly system as the old tata safari did - i remember reading that years ago but this wikipedia thing gives some details

The Sierra Turbo did have a 4x4. My cousin & self have experienced some crazzy adrenaline rushes on the Old Bbay - Pune road in that original beast of a beauty.

Having owned one in the family( Military Green - was the color ) for a good few years and as my first SUV vehicle, right out of university - it was a massive ego-massager for sure.

It was probably the the most safest vehicle after the Amby during her times.....!!!
