Thanks to all of you for your best wishes.
Rajneeesh, when I test drove aveo 1.4, fiesta 1.4 and logan 1.6 at moderate speeds (40-60) I felt that Logan showed more urgency in accelerating. After multiple test drives I felt that despite it's weight, it had more pulling power. In aveo and fiesta I felt a slight drop in power when the AC was switched on. I didn't feel it in logan 1.6.

IMHO, The Aveo's BHP figures somehow don't translate well in real life.

Not many have logan petrol in this forum. What did you like in the car only space and power (?). Esteem also have the same power. Any discounts and freebies you have got with this?
Thanks buddy. I also have an esteem VXi. It has a great acceleration and mileage but fails in ride quality, legroom and safety. Moreover ingress and egress are difficult in esteem.

That's the sad part because earlier this car was number one on my wish list.

Yes at low speeds the engine is nothing to write home about. It comes alive only above 2500 rpm and I noticed this when I test drove the 1.6 LT. VGIS to be blamed here.

One valueable thing we get with Logan irrespective of the model we choose is the Engine immobilizer that prevents anyone with a duplicate key to drive your car away! In other makes one has to pay for it!

That's true and also one of the keys contains an inbuilt remote locking/unlocking mechanism.

Sush,

We all would appreciate your feedback on the much talked about FE in city as well as Highway, once it crosses a reasonable milage. I am also monitoring that of my DLX 1.5. Shall post it after I get a reasonable Odo reading say 1000 Kms.

Congrats on a new car. new car is a new car! and i like the smell. Diesel would not be a wise choice considering renault's reliability. There are two bad things about renault. Plasticy tail lamps and narrow tyres. Upgrade the tyres and will look good. No engine mods..max an air filter. French engines does not support much of modification (i think). Well is the engine supplied by some Indian company?

Hi Guys,

Any recommendations for the kind of petrol that I should be using in order to get the best performance out of my car?

IOC Extra Premium should be good enough. You don't need higher octane.
But, many A.S.S suggest regular unleaded. Best if you ask them.
