Congrats, I'd suggest to replace the stock JK tyres with some good replacement (Quiet ones), the stock JK make hell of a noise at speeds above 80kmph

Thanks iTNerd, no body kit as the car will be going to places where I will need maximum GC and body kit reduces the GC.

Congrats saab.

Just couple of things.
Given your heavy duty driving (18-20k a year) SX4 would be quite expensive, no? Infact, diesel-petrol cost difference would've enabled paying for fusion D's extra price No?
Secondly, congrats on the good trade in price. An Indica that's done so many km fetching a 1.35 price is indeed quite decent!

Thanks phamilyman..

You know what, I was in that mind fight for almost last 6 month. And looking at the driving I will be doing, petrol is surely a costly car to drive. But then I was looking for petrol comfort with all the features, fully loaded.

And by the way my Safari dream is not gone, its postponed to 1 year exactly.

BTW I did a comparison of diesel Indigo XL and SX4 for how much I will spending extra while driving SX4. Looking at figures its almost double. But I am sure till the time I do not own safari, I can afford to spend that extra for the fun. What do you say

Booked SX4/ZXi - Delivered 14th May 2008-comparison.jpg

well calculated. but yeah. why not the dZire ZDi? It has everything you wanted and then some? A little suspension work would set it up just right.

dZire, pickup very good, you get boot as well. But I do not like the outside look. Also I feel very congested when sitting inside. From outside it looks very big, but inner space is not impressive.

Also 7 month waiting that also without any promise

Congrats on your choice Bhartat. Well we seem to have a similar tast for wheels. My first car was also a 1999 Maruti 800 which was followed by an Indica V2 in 2004 and I picked up my SX4 Zxi earlier this year.

Your timing also has been spot on . Just before the price rise and you have managed a good exchange deal on your Indica.

keep us informed about the mods/accessories. I have not added anything yet but am looking forward to go in for good seat covers and reversing sensors. So far the Climate control has been keeping my car cool so have not gone in for sun film as yet.

Silver is a gret colour and suis the SX4 very well. It is quiet a chore to keep my Black stallion clean , but after I wax polish it on alternate weekends, the shine makes me forget all the trouble.

ICICI goof up, delay for one more day

ICICI people goofed in sending the loan report to Vipul Motors so they have no idea about the status . Without a status they can not assign the car to me, though they have reiceved the car.

I really feel bad about people booking Swift Vdi and dZiere and waiting for 3-7 months. And I can not wait for a week

Thanks Rajneesh, we are exactly on same line. you know once you drive Indica, you can not settle for less specially on space.

Just a questions do you feel AC cools efficiently in delhi's hot summer noon

Well said Bharat. Its not just the front/rear leg room space but also the storage space that is found abundant in Indica.

Anyways all the best for your new car and may be you need to update your signature about the sold status of your Indica.
