Honda CR-V 2.0

Just browsing through the site I thought it had everything and so never bothered to write my own review on any of my cars as, i thought all cars review are already there. But to my suprise the New Honda CR-V 2.0 is missing.
Well so here is my review on my CR-V 2.0

The car was bought about a month back from Ace Honda Noida, UP, Car registered in Gurgaon, Haryana, I lived in Delhi, Came to Mumbai and got it along so it is here now. So it has seen city roads, long journeys, off roading and what not. The car has done 4,000km till now.

The car is not at all slow or any less than the 2.4, once at high speed there are no vibration what so ever (195 max i have done till now) so you don't feel any difference if its a 2.4 or 2.0. It is sportier than the 2.4 and you feel a kind of a sporty jerk when you press on the accelerator.

The car gives 8-9kmpl in extreme urban and 11-12 on highway with real high speeds.

The car has EPS which makes it lighter to move around.

Other than that rest is standard and same to 2.4:-
Tilt telescopic, music control mounted steering
Dual A/C
Dual airbags
ABS with EBD
8 way power adjustable driver seat
4 way adjustable back seats (40:20:40 split)
Electrical retractable and adjustable side view mirrors
Single embeded CD/mp3/AUX player

Well for the rest of the review I have a different style....... keep your eyes on this thread.

FE is really impressive for a soft roader. Whats the onroad price you paid and are the there any discounts on the CR-V as I assume it does move out of showrooms like the other Hondas. It still secures much better sales than the competition. Are there any visual difference than the 2.4 other than the badges. I am sure Honda must have left a few goodies to decrease cost.

there are no such badges outside from which you could differenciate, execpt 4wd which is only for 4x4, the new 2.4 crv has sun roof and chrome door handels rest all is same from exterior side. from the old crv 2.4 there is no difference

got it on road for 18.5
gurgaon registration and 30k on accessories

It doesn't show any results in channel. All the results are under videos.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I have failed to understand why is the quality so bad??????
It looks so good on my computer, but it is all blured on youtube. I think windows movie maker has done this, the file saved by windows movie maker is like this.

Any clue why is it so and what can be done to rectify this.

try converting the video to FLV. That way your videos come online faster. You can also play around with the encoding settings.

What is the size of your recorded file? Which format is it? Can you upload that somewhere in the format captured by your video camera? You can try Rapidshare, Netload or Megashare. I'll see if I can bring about any changes

I shot this with my sony handycam, I had lost my handy cam CD probably that would have done something better, nevermind i connected the handy cam through USB cable, copied the video file (it coiped everything in one single file, everything i ever recorded on that CD), next converted VOB file to WMV through youtube downloader.

Everything fine till now. Then shifted it to windows movie maker, did a little bit editing, still everything fine.

Finished the video and clicked on save movie on computer, file saved in wmv format and all blured and bad qaulity and all.

uploading to the net made it even worse.. please help

Nice review there and the CRV is one of the most classy looking soft roaders out there.

Hi, would u be able to tell me the difference between this 2.0 and the first 2.0 version when the CRV was launched ?
Cause both say i-Vtec !
Any difference in the bhp figures ?

I've seen a few used CRVs and am thinking of buying one.
Any specific advice ?

One offer for eg is -
2004 - 50k done - red - asking 9 lacs ?!
What is your opinion ? How much should I offer ?

First of all I am completely unaware of a 2.0 engine launched earlier, if you are talking about the 2.4 one than here is the difference.
2.0
Power: 143 PS/6000 rpm
Torque: 190Nm/ 4200 rpm
2.4
Power: 161PS/5800 rpm
Torque: 218Nm/ 4200 rpm

And about the second hand car, I have not bought a second hand car in my life so would not be able to comment on that.
