How come there will be a discrepancy in filling from different pumps.. AFAIK if the latest one(Hyatt) is showing the correct reading the figures shold be accurate. ryt?
Nopes. Stock tyres for me till now and for another 10k km at least.

There may be discrepancy in terms of when the particular bunk stops at auto-cut. Not much difference actually.

The major difference will come if either of the two pumps are mis-caliberated.

I completed 1000 Kms on Friday and took it for the first service on saturday.
I got it serviced from AAA Vehicleades workshop in Okhla.

The workshop is pretty new so not many cars, they did a very nice job with the washing and cleaning.
I had given complaints about two rattles, the major one being somewhere near the rear seat.

The first thing they did after the washing was anti rust coating which i had opted for.
After the coating was done, the car was standing idle for about 1/2 hour since they had run out of engine oil , now that really pissed me off, since they did not have a basic thing like engine oil in stock. I also gave the service adviser a piece of my mind regarding this and all he could do was apologize.
After the engine oil was changed they did the usual checkups and on my insistence checked twice for the rattles. At the road test after the service the rear rattle had gone away so I was happy.

The total bill was around 2400 wich included 1700(without tax) for the anti rust coating.

The engine feels smother after the servie and thankfully no rattles apart from the small plastic squeaking rattle near the front driver door.

I tanked her up this morning at IOC COCO pump opposite Hyatt.
Sadly they still didnt have normal diesel, so I had to go for Xtra Mile .
I might have to shift to another pump since I dont prefer premium diesel, I feel that its not worth the extra money they demand. Although there is no black smoke after using premium diesel.

Now the best part, after the calculations, the FE came out to be 21.3 Km/L, this is with 80% AC.

Thanks mate, to tell you the truth I was not expecting these figures after upsizing the tyres.

But I have changed my driving style completely to achieve these figures!

Yes my friends swift diesel gave 22 kmpl when driven with 5 adults, ac on and highway at mostly 80.

Nice to hear that changing style works well.

Swift D makes sense and it looks still excellent

Enjoy!

Update

The car is now one month and 10 days old. I have clocked approximately 2400Kms.

I have been forced to use premium diesel because normal diesel is not available on company owned pumps(i have checked only2). I had read on the forum that swift has a tendency to give allot of black smoke when running on premium diesel.
I have not felt/experienced any smoke, today morning was the third time i tanked up with Xtramile Diesel from IOC COCO opposite Hyatt.

Now the good part:
After tanking up today the FE came out to be 21.5 Km/ltr(All city driving with 90% AC on).I got the same figure in the last tankup as well.
The good FE is one of the main reasons I dont want to shift to another pump, hence I am using premium diesel.

Cheers

Jaspreet

20000 Km Update!!

I agree I have been lazy in updating the thread.

The car is a little less than 1yr old now and has completed 20k on the Odo.

Last sunday I got the 20k service done at Maruti Sales and Service Nariana.
Below are the details of the service:

Problems reported:
- Slight noise from the rear right door.
- Rear bumper a little loose after a hit from another swift while i was standing at a red light in Noida.
- One nut on the front left wheel slipping.

Work to be done:
- Paid service
- Engine Oil and filter Change
- Diesel Filter Change
- Gear oil change
- Injectors to be cleaned
- Air Filter Change
- Coolant Change
- Wheel Balancing and Alignment

I reached the service station at 8am and after a test drive by the service advisor (A.S Sidhu), I was told that the car will be delivered at 4pm. The service centre people make it a point to assign the same service advisor from the previous service.
Mr. Sidhu said the noise coming from the front suspension on hard braking is normal.

The car was ready at 3pm and below are the bill details:

Parts:
Air Filter: 230.22
Exchange Filter: 842.67
Engine Oil Filter: 334.22
Oil Drain Plug assembly: 56.89
Coolant: 208.89
Brake Oil: 137.78
Windscreen washer fluid: 11.84
Gear Oil: 728.00
Engine Oil: 604.50
Wheel Balancing weights: 150.00 (aprox)

Labour:
Paid Service: 700
Engine De-Carbonizing: 875
Wheel Alignment: 210
Wheel Balancing: Free*
Labour Discount: -100*

* I had a free car wash and a free wheel balancing coupon since I got my insuance renewed from this service centre.

Total Parts: 3828.58
Total Labour: 1847.53

Grand Total: 5676

I am very satisfied with the service and all the issues reported have been fixed and as usual their car was and cleaning is top notch.

Touchwood, there is no major rattling from the car, only an occasional plastic nose from here and there and I am ok with it.

Latest updates on the car:
Horn changed to roots (Skoda type)
Headlamp bulbs changed to Osram Cool Blue (Stock wattage), the light is whiter and the throw is good.
Recently got the boot damped with noisekill because i was begining to hear some vibrations from the rear, now I get to hear some tight bass!

Over this past one year the car has performed very nicely and more importantly very economically.

Total Distance covered till date: 20176 Kms
Total Cost of fuel: Rs. 33347
Average fuel efficiency: 21.03 Kms/Ltr

The above figures are with 80% AC and 95% city driving with only 2 trips to chandigarh.

Mods: Request you to please update the title to : Yes!!! Its here.. Swfit VDi White!!! Updated to 20000 Kms!
