Lovely color - very rich!
Still amazed that you got the car so quickly.
Enjoy the car and drive safely.

Hi Ankit, i had a look at the icon which you were telling, it is "white" in color, but apart from that if you look carefully at the bottom of the fuel gauge there is a grey coloured icon of the "petrol pump", which is not visible if you look at it casually, you will have to look carefully to spot that.

I think that should be the low fuel warning lamp, but as you said this feature is not there, it may be disabled, have a look at the instrument cluster of your dzire, lets see if we can find anything.

regards,
Sanjeev

Hi Friends,

I am in process of upgrading from Stock Steel Rims to Alloys for my Dzire VXI, in this regard i went to the Maruti Showroom for enquiring about the Alloys which comes in the ZXI variant, they quoted a price of 22500/- for 5.

There are some queries for which i need your expert advise:
1. I will not be upsizing or upgrading the Tyres, as Maruti Showroom guys told that alloys can be added on the same tyres, is it true ?

2. Is the same Alloy design is available in the Market also ?, if yes what can be the price difference ?

Awaiting your advise...!!

regards,
Sanjeev

1) You can use the OE tyres, though one size upsize is a good idea, since it will give you better control and safety.
2) I havent come across the same design outside, but you can pick a second hand one if you are lucky. I got mine from outside, from an accessory shop who bought back the rims from a customer who wanted to upgrade the OE alloys as soon as the car left the showroom. 4 alloys for me costed Rs 12,500/-

Ensure you get the center caps also along with the alloys, they are almost impossible to find.

Door Protector Rubbers

Hi Friends,

I require some information on, where to get those small BLACK Rubbers which are there on the doors, i didnt got them at the time of delivery.

When i enquired from M.A.S.S they told that the rubbers are not for counter sale, and it will be given at the time of service, when i went to get the 2nd Service done, they were telling they dont have it in stock.

I confirmed from another M.A.S.S, they also were giving some lame excuses, is this part available outside where can i get it. I cant understand why they are giving excuses for such a small thing.

Did anybody of you people came across this situation, please share your experiences.

regards,
Sanjeev

Those rubbers you are talking about are useless IMHO.
Even if you get new ones, they will come off in a week, MAX.
They are cheap, costs Rs. 16 for set of four.
If you want them, I would suggest buy it from some accessory shop.
The ones that comes with double sided tape.
I personally dont like them. But they will last better.

Thanks for the information sumit, can i get those rubbers (Which costs Rs. 16 for a set of 4) from any accessory shop?.

You are right, i also dont like the ones which are stuck with double sided tape, when they come off, they leave a mark on the vehicle.

Mileage Update after Second Service..!!

Hi Friends,

Here is the update on the Mileage after IInd Service, i am getting 13.25 Kmpl with 90% AC on in city driving conditions, calculated by tank-full-to-tank-full, hope it will increase further after third service as i am a sedate driver.

Earlier, before second service i was getting 12.75 kmpl.

What you guys think on the mileage part, valuable comments are awaited.

Electromagnetic Parking Sensors

Hi Friends,

Finally i have decided to go in for the Reverse Parking Sensors for my Dzire, as i do not want to go for the normal parking sensors which are drilled into the cars bumper.

I was searching for some information on them for the same on T-BHP, in one of the threads i found a topic on "Electromagnetic Parking Sensors", related to that i need soem information mentioned below:

1. Are they available in India ?
2. Where can i get them in Mumbai ?
3. Is the installation easy ?
4. Heard they dont come with a LCD screen, we have to rely on the beep intensity for judgement ?
5. What is the price difference between simple ultrasonic & electromagnetic sensors ?

Apologies for asking so many questions at a time, as i didnt got much information on the other thread.

regards,
Sanjeev
