White Swift Vdi

hi guys,
last week i went and took delivery of my new swift Vdi from chandigarh.
I purchased the vehicle from Berkeley Automobiles and my experience with the dealership has been fantastic. In fact i would recommend them to any body buying a Maruti in North India.
Now much said about the dealership; the car- I drove it from Chandigarh to noida and now i know why it has a 6-7 month waiting period. It is absolutely a hoot to drive and once the turbo sets in-its pure heaven.
Before we booked the swift there was lots of confusion as to what car should we go for-" Confused on Diesel Car Purchase thread" . Now the car has run about 600Kms and efficiency is aound 14Kmpl.
The car is now running on Prestige Design 15 inchers and yokohama tyres.
I will let the Pics do the talking-

Congrats on your new buy. The car looks stunning with those alloys. Suits perfectly. You will get more FE after 1st service. Hope you are taking care for the first 1000 kms (run in period). BTW, what was the waiting period for this?

Enjoy the ride and drive safe.

hi turbo 1787
i booked a white swift vdi at berkeley automobiles today and i have been asked to wait for a period of 6-7 months.
my father unknowingly booked the model without abs. are the brakes of this particular model satisfactory or would you recommend a change?
regards

Congrats Turbo.

Just one word of advice. Please choose your diesel bunk carefully. FE of 14. That is a tad low even for a new car considering you drove down from Chandigarh. Are you measuring tankful to tankful ?

Edit: Where do you plan to get your car serviced ?

@ Snaronikar - Thanks, yes iam taking care of the run-in period.
@ cvvikram- Thanks a ton.
@ Abhinav591- Don't worry mine is also non ABS , I found the brakes to be highly satisfactory even at 130kph in heavy rains (chandigarh-delhi highway).
@ Eddy- so you mean company operated outlets only. Where should i go for service,
Maruti Service Masters Okhla has a fair reputation.

Yes. I have done 29,000 in my VDI and have always(but once or twice) filled from COCO outlets.

If you are ok going to Sahibabad, I will recommend FairDeal cars for service. If needed, you can give them my reference. Lemme know if you require more details.

Otherwise, MSM okhla has good reports too.

it depends on your travel...if you drive on highways often then i would suggest you get the ABS version...and if the waiting period is not extended for too long...
for city driving the non-ABS version with fatter rubber should suffice ..

I have heard good things about Motorcraft Noida. You can search for reviews here and give them a try if you want
