Zen to Safari, making my own roads !

Guys, Thank You , I have upgraded my ride from a zen to a Quartz Black TATA Safari 2.2VTT LX. Its almost 2 months old and 3000+ kms in the odometer.

I've got clear lens fog lamps, Llumar sunfilms, Autocop central locking system, mats, idol, mud flaps, perfume (dealer freebies) and 12k cash discount too . Also, got it registered before August 1st to beat the increase in LTT.

Other additions:

Red Soul M6 car reverse guidence system.
ICE: PIONEER 505oUB
JBL components (GTO608C)
JBL co-axial (GT5 652)
JBL Sub ( CS1204)
Blaupunkt 2 channel Amp(GTA2)

Additions planned:
Alloys, body colored cladding, hood deflector, GPS receiver,Leather upholstery, Nudge guard, oh boy, this list is gonna be long.

Its a dream come true for me too and the drive, so far so good and I'm loving it.

There was small problem with the glove-box lamp switch. Got it fixed. First service is done. There is a small krr..krr sound during sudden acceleration(yeah, I guess the same complaint as jkdas's). Hope this is not an issue.

Once again , thanks to all you guys for your valuable reviews/feedbacks/quarrels which helped me to make my decision quite easily.

cheers !

congrats on your purchase. Why don't you put up the OTR in Bangalore and why did you go for LX rather than EX ? Was it purely cost factor or something else ?

Congrats and welcome to the club.

The "Krrr" is a known problem and since yours is relatively new, I guess its ongoing in every batch they released.

Congrats man, Thats a very great upgrade
So, where are the pictures?
You got 12K cash discount? How did you managed to get those? I have seen most people get only max of 5K as CASH discount.
Do update us about the FE.

Thanks. Will update the pictures in couple of days time. Yeah, for the discounts(6k dealer + 6k corporate) I had to bargain hard, really hard. But, I knew about almost all the transactions here in bangalore through team-bhp . A BIG thanks to the team. FE is around 12.8 for my first 3000kms with a equal mix of city and highway drives. I'm pleased.

Thanks, It costs around 9,05000 including extended warranty. This is prior to LTT increase and without the discounts. I chose LX for different reasons. Price, wish to customize the ICE , a compromise because all I wanted was a SUV with 4X4 , ABS and AB which was not available in my budget of 12lakhs .

Gods, Congrats on your upgrade! In fact its not an upgrade but a big leap from a ZEN to a SAFARI! I guess you must be enjoying the space and ride quality in your new "beast" as its popularly called. No more fearing that the speed breaker will brush your underbody like it used on the Zen eh!!

Congrats on the buy, GOW!

The photos are loooong over due!

It is sad that the version with ABS & Airbag is prices at 13.3 laks!!! The 4x4 base version is priced at 11 odd laks!

Hope TATA goes the Honda way and makes ABS & Airbag standard across variants!

Did you mean the LX one that you got is a 4 *4 ? I was under the impression that 4*4 starts only in EX and VX. Am I wrong ?

Karnataka pays arguably the highest road tax in the country - plus he's talking about the EX 4x2 price, not the LX.
