Lol Dhaval has quite a valid point
but
He has been using the ZXi so maybe the problem of low efficiency is there.

Congrats on the car. I had been to Concorde Motors at Bangalore and had a look at the car. It brought smiles to my face. The same red colour is on display there. I loved the interiors and that beautiful red dashboard. Enjoy your ride and post your views here.

Well may be. I am too lazy to search for the Swift Petrol problems through the threads, but his mileage problem seems to be unique. Omar would you mind sharing it with us, going a bit OT?

Hi Dhaval,

I have had this problem since the beginning, it was my first car and I was a new driver then. Everybody said that as I was a new driver so I was not changing the gears properly and all sort of things. But now I can drive perfectly after 3 years of driving, but still the average is 5-7, got it checked at 3 different places and nobody could sort out the problem. After I left for the UK, I was driving it only when I was back home for holidays, so nobody bothered about it !! I had thought of buying the Fabia a wonderful car, but then when I heard that the 500 is coming I waited patiently and am still waiting until November, hopefully it will arrive in time and I will also wrap up here in the UK by the end of November and zoom around in my new little car.

Cheers

Omar

P.S. I called the dealer and according to him the car has been manufactures !! don't know to trust him on this update or not !!

You sure of the above mileage figures ?? You are putting the fuel efficiency of the Swift at par with the likes of the CRV, Outlander etc. If these figures are a fact, there is something seriously wrong with the car and you should get it checked, particularly the ECU.

Anyway, Congrats upon your impending purchase !!. The Fiat 500 is meant to be a connoisseur's car....keep her well.

Hey guys thought I'll post my pics of having the Fiat 500 myself for 2 weeks!!
Actually my neighbours Alfa Romeo went in for service and she got this as a courtesy car. But she wasn't too interested in it, so I swapped my VW Polo with her for 2 weeks and I had this 500. Quite a comfy ride actually! Easy to park as you may have guessed. It was quite a dramatic switch from my usual beautiful A5 as I don't really use the Polo quite a lot. But still I felt at home in it I especially liked the speedo and the rev counter!

This 500 was the Pop version unlike your Sport Omar.
And also, is this the white colour that India isn't selling??

Hope you like the pics!
Thanks!

Good News Guys !!

I got an email from Fiat India, telling me that my car will be at the Mumbai Docks by the 25th of October, but unfortunately I will be getting it only by the 2nd week of November due to Custom clearance.

But its ok as I will be back to India only by the end of November.

Cheers

Omar

Congrats Omar, im sure you had a very good reason for buying such a car.

But i feel Fiat should have atleast given it a Hyundai VGT engine with 1.5ltr/ 110bhp/ 235nm.

1.3ltr/ 75bhp/ 145nm just isn't fair on a car worth 15L OTR.

Can't agree more. But why would Fiat use a Hyndai engine?

Greatt

The car rocks, man. Congrats on your cute buy and hope the frog has a looooong life.

It's personally my favourite hatch, i just love the cuteness. the alloys give it an even better look.
