Hey Rudrah,
When are you going for the first service and where? My MJD is due for service too, done 1300kms. I don't plan to visit Fortune. Wasan is a good alternative and closer to Vashi too. Where exactly is Shaman located? We can probably go together.
Cheers!

Well, finally the pictures get to the forum. Although I've already said this in person, but then even I'm seeing your car's pictures for the first time, so heartiest congratulations on that red beauty / red beast / red bull... whatever it is that this car has been associated with. I believe the pictures are taken at the 'vada pav pit stop' on the expressway.
I see that the "100 16V" badges are missing from the fenders. Did'nt know they stopped putting those on the 1.6 Stile. The tail lamp damage is actually pretty minor and cant be noticed as much from a distance. Have to discuss something about our weekend's service plan together. Get in touch bud and good luck!

Hi,
well me and ROMS both planning to do it on coming 24th Friday at Shaman. It is located at Sewri. I know its bit far but atleast they are better knowledge of FIAT cars than Fortune and may be Wasan(not sure) as Fortune and Wasan were specifically for TATA cars.
Fortune Cars at Nerul is pathetic in sales and service!
If you want to join us on 24th, PM me immediately your no. so we can confirm your details to Shaman to go together.
Cheers~

CONGRATS!!! Nice pics and RED Rocks for sure.
Regarding the Doors in MJD (hope this is the same in 1.6 as well)
1. Driver/Co-Passenger can Lock/Unlock all doors
2. While locking from driver side if any of the doors are open then you can't lock
3. Rear doors lock/unlock only the specific door
Thanks Dude! I'm experiencing every moment in city and highway. I wish Non-FIAT people realise the potential of this car!

I waited a month for this Formula Red color. I was given the choice to go for Black and Grey but Ferrari color is what i always wanted to go right from Day 1.
Regarding the door locking system, so is the same for Palio Petrol versions! :thumbs up

I thought that there were only two colours available for the 1.6.
Are you sure about Grey.

Yeah, its been a year now since they have introduces Magnesium Grey in 1.6!
Came back from 1st Service at Wasan Motors.
All fluid top ups. Gave a thought for oil change but postponed for 2nd service.
Added System G to normal fuel(IOC).
After Service, car now runs smoother and so is the gear shift!
Cheers~
Hey Rudrah .. Congrats on the purchase and happy running.
How was the first servive and the service experience? Do keep us constantly updated on the 1.6.
The 1st Service was okay as there was only Oil and other fluid top ups so nothing exceptional was to look on. Had left a black stain on the seat covers which they promptly cleaned it up.
Have couple of scratches after the service. Pinch so bad to see them!!
The detailed service experience is posted by Dueller as we both had our cars serviced together!
Attached is the pic of the car at the service bay!
The car now runs butter smooth than it was before, not sure if its because of System G. Whatever i'm enjoyin the drive at every 80-100kms speeds.
Got a chance to drive Dueller's Mag Grey MJD for a couple of kms.
Switched on the ignition. The sound and the weight explained its a diesel car thou it was not that noisy as the tata diesel engines. Shifting gears felt bit rubbery, may be because i've never driven a Diesel car. Pushed it into 3rd and the car roared to excel. Once it touched 2000 RPM, it showed some adrenaline rush within...it drove quite smooth and sturdy!
With the kind of FE, Dueller achieves is amazing...:thumbs up
Its a VFM car for both diesel and petrol hatch!
Cheers~
That's the bane of all service centres, they give additional scratches to the vehicle. On each visit, the scratches only increase.
Don't remember where the other thread is. Did you give a detailed review on your diesel experience?
