I thought about complaining to the tata motors but later dropped the idea as he is the only dealer in my city I do not want any service blues.

Anyways, though nothing solid can be concluded from your post, whether you finally got the car or not, or whether you changed your mind and went for some other colour, I would still like to congratulate you on the decision of buying a VISTA (Thats the only concrete thing I could conclude).

Actually being a newbie my posts take some time as the mods have to screen it first.I completed the story the same day. But it really introduced some suspense to the already eventful post.

And yes I had a TD before and my dad who was against my decision of going for tata(u all know tata's reputation of noisy & rattling cars) kept on comparing the car with his Innova. But I had to tell him this car costs only half of what his innova did.

And CAD I will tell u about that horn problem today. but did u find mud flaps for your car.

Time for some pictures

I am posting the pics taken in my driveway with a Nokia N95(Average quality due to low light).

Note the sharp plastics of the glove box.

The door pockets are inadequate.

Will post more interior pics once I get the seat covers and remove the plastics.

@CAD I got a warranty card for my HU( Clarion make), minda central locking, exide battery.. What about you. and how much did the mud flaps cost u-are they after market?

The noise & clatter is at acceptable levels inside the cabin. It is just marginally more than my Innova(I have not driven any previous india, MJD or DDiS, So comparing it with the only car I own/know.). The in cabin noise reduces to a great extent once u get in a larger gear-say 3rd or 4th..

Yeah I am sure as I have got a warranty card giving me address of its service centres and is stamped by the dealer..It is definitely clarion though I have not heard much about it here in Punjab(We hear more about the sony, kenwoods, alpines, pioneers etc.). Is it a good brand?

Congrats

Nipun,

Congrats on your choice and purchase. If it isn't a burden, could you post a photo of the boot too, please?

OT: Clarion is an excellent car audio brand [head units especially]

Looks neat and good buddy. Did you liked the drive and the gear shift? Is the suspension good enough for you?

they were fitted by the showroom. i paid arnd 6000 for the entire package - leather seats, floor carpet and mud flaps. i dont know how much the flaps cost seperately. they cant be more than a few 100 rupees.

My stupid dealer says that Vista has no provision of mud flaps. And when I called him today about my Pollution Certificate, he told me that Vista does not require any Pollution certificate. And can you the person who told me this is the ASM. I guess he needs team-bhp badly.

Drive is smooth and the gearing is spot on.. I really liked the suspension. It is almost comparable to my Innova-REALLY IMPRESSIVE.
