My dad has decided to go for the swift Vxi (ABS).
I want to seek advice on extended warrenty.Also,the payment will be
whole,so what type of discount should I be asking for ?
The sales executive told me that I wont get the vehicle unless I pay the entire amount,then how do people who take loan get their cars?

Excellent car choice. The discount will be the same, no matter whether you take a loan or make full cash payment. As far as the dealer not giving you the car unless full payment is received, he is right. Where someone takes a loan, the dealer gets payment from the lending bank, so for his purposes the payment has been made, and he delivers the car.

Well if the discount is being offered by Finance companies then this discount wont be available for non financed purchase.

Hi Satansvalet, why dont you go for the ZXi model. If you are opting for ABS in VXi then why dont you spend a little more money and take the ZXI. That is the best option, as it comes with Airbags, Audio, Climate Control and a lot more features. Any specific reason for not going for ZXI?

You can ask for a complimentary painting of outer cowl of both LH/RH mirrors to body colour as its not available in VXI. Moreover, ZXI would be a better choice as you get all the goodies for a mere little extra cost, which you will never repent for later, it makes sense.

Yes,the Zxi has a rear wiper and rear defogger which are really useful during the monsoon season, I plan to install some good quality ICE and decent rims in the future.

I have tried to convince my dad to go for the ZXi but he's set his mind on the VXi.If it was my money,then I would have blindly gone for the ZXi.

Also,I went to the FortPoint dealer yesterday,I asked him to give the 3rd and 4the extended warranty free as my dad is planning to pay the entire amount (no loans,no nothing).

Ok so your dad does not want the ZXI. I was wondering why you wouldnt opt for ZXI.Now I have the reason. Dont worry, a Swift is always a Swift, whether ZXI or VXI.You will enjoy it for sure. But are you getting the VXI with ABS delivered soon? Isnt there a waiting period for it.I think one can get a ZXI faster than a VXI with ABS. If there is a huge waiting period, then you can try to convince your father to go for the ZXI.

The waiting period for both is the same i.e. 2 and a half months.

Well, he said here in mumbai there are no discount on the swift and SX4.
But I have told him to give me the 3rd and 4th extended warranty (4995/-) for free.

Is there something more I should ask for ?

Hey pal, 73500 is not a big price for all the goodies you et with the ZXI. More over if finance is a problem, small loans of less than 1 lakh can be availed at 0% interest from most dealers now a days. You wont feel the pinch and neither lose a ZXI
