Garry: you are one hell of a person who loved the car so much in spite of the trouble it had caused and you still say,LOVE IT.
Hats-off dude!!

i almost had the same experience with the used palio D.

1)Bought at jan 2009- a 2003 may, palio D 1.9ELX, done 82000 kms.
2)Hot start problem from day one. (TASS guy says saar here it will take a week ..no problem with push-start )

3)Power steering fluid leakage(from the pinion, as i was told at Bosch service station.)

4)Engine oil leak from the crank case area.

5)Oil-smelling breeze from the engine intake area.

Sold it, for 1.87Lakh.

Bought for 2L, with 5k for a service, 15k for timing belt job..

Loss of 43k from the pocket.

But the car was as solid as our 1985 ambassador.

The car is solid , no doubt about that. Its built like a tank and can conquer most of the indian tasks , you feel safe on the drivers car.
Thats the only thing i miss in my new love.

Good to know you sold it.

On a lighter note:
May be we'll see another love/hate thread on team-bhp. Feel sorry abt the guy who purchased it.
